I am not kidding when I say this hostel is literally an atomic bunker. Which is very interesting however I did not feel safe or comfortable at this hostel. This is mainly mine and my friend's fault for not reading the reviews properly, as I know that many people could stay here and thoroughly enjoy the experience, unfortunately it just was not for us. The beds are pilates mats on metal hammocks, there are no doors to the rooms, the bathrooms are a couple of minutes' walk away around the corner (bearing in mind the hostel is situated on what is essentially a council estate) so a middle of the night trip to the loo is a no go. The owner also leaves the property at night, relying on visitors to lock the only door to the bunker which feels very unsafe, and the front door was unlocked on two occasions during our night's stay. It is also advisable to bring warm sleeping clothes/blankets etc as it gets extremely cold during the night. To his credit, the staff member (sorry can't remember his name but a man in his twenties) was lovely and very helpful to us. Like I say it is a very unique experience and one that i imagine many people would love, however if one is to visit it would be for the experience itself and not comfort, as myself and my friend only managed an hour or so of sleep. Overall, worth a visit for a night for the experience but no longer would be recommended unless you sleep like a rock!

Really cool brand new hostel and such an awesome experience! You can tell the owner has gone to great lengths to ensure the bunker looks and feels as it did when it was abandoned 25 years ago. Not 5 star luxury but so authentic and well worth it
