I arrived in komiza without prescription booking. Perina was at the station, so I agreed to have a look at her apartment, 5 minutes (at the most) up a steep hill was worth the walk. Stunning views, clean apartment with balcony and Perina couldn't have been nicer. Decided to stay another night! 

We were there two times for vacations. We stayed in apartmen Široko and Tramunotona. At Široko it was perfect! Nice and clean with great terrace! Pepe and Perina are really nice hosts! Definitely recommend! 

We had an excellent time staying in Pepe apartment. Perina and all her family are so kind and friendly. The room “calm wheather” had everything we needed, very comfortable bed, a small fridge with a delicious bottle of wine, fresh towels, linen and air coinditioner. Room was clean, nice decorated and have a fantastic view from the balcony. The place is located in the quite area, really close to the town. Komiza is a great place for a holidays with a stunning beaches, crystal clear sea and unique history. We highly recommended. 

Ps. Perina made the best chocolate cake we have ever eaten.

I echo all that Phil H has said in his review-clean comfortable accommodation, fabulous terrace and the kindest, friendliest host you could ever wish for. Komiza is also a lovely relaxing place to stay but for us the whole holiday was lifted into the exceptional by Perina. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else if we return. Thank you Perina, we will always remember you.

A view and hospitality to remember

Fabulous view lovely host and perfect apartment 

Perina and Pepe are the best! :) 

We were met off the bus from Supertar by Perina, which was a nice surprise, as we hadn't arranged it. She walked with us up the hill to the apartment, and offered us some juice. Afterwards we were shown around the ground floor apartment "Scirocco" by herself and Pepe. At first glance it seemed ok, quite spacious with the bedroom area separated from the sitting area, together with a decent size kitchen, plus the outside patio set under the grape vines. Pepe was keen to show off his home-made furniture.

Once we'd settled in and started to unpack the problems began: there is not really any wardrobe space, just a half-sized cupboard with a few hangars and another with some shelves, plus a coat stand where you could hang longer items.  We filled the kettle and switched it on and waited, and waited. Although the light were on it obviously didn't work, so rather than disturb the owners immediately we tried to boil some water on the hob.  We tried in vain to light to 2 gas burners, then gave up and switched on the electric hob. After about an hour the water was warming up, but not enough to have a drink. So we mention it to Perina. She told us the gas had run out (for the season I guess), and replaced the kettle, which although worked it leaked and had to be scrubbed clean before use.

There were no Bath towels provided to us, only small and large hand towels. The small bathroom was mostly filled by a large Jacuzzi bath, which may seem impressive, but was very impractical for such a small area, as the toilet, hand basin and shelf had to be squeezed into the remaining space. In addition, the Jacuzzi was stand-alone and away from the wall, so any splashes from the shower just went onto the floor (which they did everytime as the shower head was split, there was also a taped-up electric cable next to the shower head, no Health & Safety here!). All-in-all it was rather cramped. (see photos).

The double bed was ok, but the pillows were filled with chopped foam, which made them rather lumpy.   The large seating area was quite comfortable.

The kitchen utensils looked like they were bought from a Charity shop, and with the slowness of the cooker, it would have been impossible to prepare any kind of hot meal. There was no Microwave, Grill or Toaster. 

During the night we could occasionally hear water running, and discovered in the morning that the soil pipe from the upstairs toilet ran through the corner of the ceiling!  As it was quiet you could also hear people using the bathroom in the apartment above. You could often hear Pepe talking loudly on his phone most mornings, as there was little or no insulation between our room and the owners, who were on the same level. 

The outside patio was quite nice, and we had breakfast there every day, but there was an old tin bath in the garden, filled with water where Perina washed out her wine bottles - very odd.

It's a shame that the apartment wasn't furnished with any quality items as Perina herself was a lovely lady, but I wouldn't return.  It might be that the other apartments on the 2nd floor are better furnished, but I can only tell you of our own experience.
