Apartments Croatino

We needed a location near the Split airport in order to catch an early flight. We took city bus #37 to Kastel Stafilic,where we got off two stops before the airport. It was a long bus ride and we were uncertain where to go from the stop. A kindly lady in the bakery called our host, and he drove over immediately to pick us up. The apartment was wonderful--three big, beautiful rooms and a patio with table and chairs and barbecue grill. Beautiful neighborhood among friendly local folks and just a short walk to the beach. Our host Igor was delightful and fun. He stocked with refrigerator with drinks and gave us a discount card for a restaurant down the beach path. The walk was beautiful and the restaurant Intrada was the best ever! It was a wonderful last night for us in Croatia. And to top that, Igor woke us at 5 and drove us to the airport himself. What could have been a stressful last night/early morning flight was leisurely and fun and memorable. We wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you, Igor, for a wonderful stay at Apartments Croatino. We loved it. PS: It is important to get good directions if you are driving, or to let Igor know in advance if you need a ride from the bus stop. He's a great host and will take care of you.
