Apartments Mate Slavic

We chose to spend one night here based on late arrival of the ferry from the mainland and being daunted by a long drive at dark through the island to Hvar Town. We were right to do so: first, the drive is challenging (though picturesque)even in daylight for the first stretch and, secondly, we were made extremely welcome and comfortable at this small guest house. We had the benefit of a two bedroom apartment (which sleeps 5) with a large balcony, the building set in a garden with numerous fruit trees. There were 2 shower rooms, well-equipped kitchen and a dining area, all the rooms being spacious and comfortable. The apartment was spotlessly clean with beautiful linen and an abundance of towels. There are a few restaurants in the small port. This is a very quiet spot which comes to life when the ferry docks, perfect for a one night stay or for someone seeking absolute peace and quiet but surrounded by friendly and helpful locals. These were palatial lodgings at the rate of 35 Euros per night (including on-site parking).
