What a delightful place to stop and eat - and the food is well worth stopping for. The owner, Venci Bošković, served a lovely home-made cheese with home-produced wine as a starter and cooked home-reared lamb on a spit for us as a main course. The portion was generous and the taste... you have to try it. Highly recommended - but take cash. The prices are very reasonable but cards are not accepted. Our meal for two, including a litre of wine, a starter cheese board and lamb with onion, sauces and bread was 69 Euros.

If you want to know how tastes the Island of Brac, I recommend visiting this place. It is good contact owner by sms/whatsupp before you get there. It is possible that he works on the field. Very good olive oil, wine, bio vegetable, lamb, fruit.  So authentic. Very nice, helpful people.

Ate here again following a meal last year. Still absolutely superb. It's out in the country so very quiet. The lamb is still the dish to choose. Fantastically seasoned and easily the best tasting dish on the island!

Great service also from what is a family run restaurant using local meat, locally grown vegetables.

If you are looking for an authentic Island Brac experience do your self a favor and go here. Hands down the most authentic restaurant I have ever been to in the world thus far. All the wine, Olive oil, lamb and veggies all grown on their farm and made on site. Lamb is to die for. It's roasted over open fire and the taste is sureal. I love lamb and have eaten it all over the world, this is by far the best. Atmosphere is unbelievable. Calm relaxing and great service . All service is provided by family members. Would highly recommend this place  

I didn't stay here and only ate as we staying close by. The food was absolutely first class. We had a fantastic rack of lamb which are reared by themselves along with some fresh vegetables (again grown by themselves). Everything just tasted so fresh. The surroundings are lovely up in the hills. The wine again they make themselves and tastes great. You can even buy some to take away which we did. Next time, we're in Brac, we'll definitely be visiting again.

This was a memorable occasion, first the location and the atmosphere . We ordered a mixed meat plater with roasted vegetables and potato fries. The wine menu was limited but what was on offer was out of this world. The owner and his wife were very helpful and friendly and the whole experience was one to remember.

THIS RESTAURANT ONLY ACCEPTS CASH. NO CARD PAYMENT. The only notice of this is right at the bottom of the menu in small writing, we just didnt see it, dining outside at night-time. We had even stopped by in person to reserve a table but no mention of cash only. Unfortunately we did not have enough cash with us (100+ Euros for family of 4), which ultimately ruined a nice evening with nice food. We drove passed the restaurant every day and had read great reviews so really wanted to try out the homegrown produce. They make wine which is free with the lamb, so we decided to get a 10 minute taxi ride there from Sumartin (a mistake as it was a 40euro round trip!!). Because we struggled to get a taxi we didnt make it to the restaurant till about 8.30pm and they looked ready to go home. Nonetheless they welcomed us in and we had an enjoyable evening. When we asked about desserts, we got a very firm 'No'. OK we get it, you want to go home. So we asked to pay the bill, but of course, the restaurant is cash only. After suggesting I should walk to the nearest cashpoint 3km away I agreed to leave my driving licence and come back next day to pay. The owners then shut up shop and drove off, leaving us waiting in a secluded location in the dark for our taxi..... When we went back to pay next day, there was no thankyou or apology, just shrugs of the shoulders. I suggested they need to be more clear that they dont accept card payment. More shrugs. Its not our problem she says, it happens all the time. Really? Sort the problem then. She just didnt care. My advice? Just keep on driving passed, dont bother stopping. Unless its daytime and you have loads of cash on you. Even so, we had nicer food elsewhere on Brac. So no, dont even bother. I wish we hadnt been honest and gone back to pay, the lady didnt deserve it. The man was nice though, I feel sorry for him, the chef. And yes, it may be a secluded location with no wifi, but card readers can use mobile data these days, and all your phones seemed to be working fine....
