We stayed in this facility for a week and I think it has great potential but there are aspects that need to be improved. There is no private airport shuttle, but the facility is reached without any problems with buses outside the airport. Before departure I contacted the facility to ask if we could check in before the scheduled time, actually the lady allowed us to store our luggage, make a change of our clothes in another room, use of the common bathroom and provided us directly with the keys to the accommodation. But please note that the official entrance to the apartment is at 14 pm and not before (small incomprehensions).

It Can Be Improved

The star is only valid for the position that is really optimal. For the rest absolute zero. You will understand what awaits you already climbing the narrow stairs. The unreal noise of wood would wake up even a lethargic bear! The house is dirty dirty! a really ugly thing! We were careful not to touch anything so as not to contaminate ourselves. We only needed a support x to sleep. As soon as we got into the room, only the sheets had been changed. The bed we had cmq to do by ourselves. For the floor and on the furniture and dust everywhere. Not to mention the really disgusting kitchen.

It sucks.

Well, it's not like it's in the picture... for the price it's fine, especially if you're a group of young people, and the very kind and attentive housewife provides you with a map of the city and explains what to visit.

The reason: they were wrong about the price!!!! So I'm looking to book Qst hotel of dubious correctness vs. its customers...as the question that rings in my head is...and if they were aware of it two days before my arrival???? (Booking for the middle week of August 2016) NO COMMENT!!! I don't recommend!

I couldn't stay despite the reservation! it would have been a stay of August 2016

We stayed here as a base camp for two nights. We arrived at 5pm after a long coach ride. The email from the host included all necessary information/directions and we found our way easily. The location is a short walk away from the station/port and just to the east of the city walls next to a big food market.

The door is a bit secluded and if locked, use the button that says 'bulovic'. Our host was a friendly, bubbly and personable lady. The guesthouse is part her home but we didn't see much of each other. The rooms are secure, clean and private. There is a large well equipped bathroom. 

Bizarrely, some of the other local women around the guesthouse made some unusual comments in croatian at various points when we were coming/going but they are harmless enough. 

Overall we had a good stay and were made to feel welcome and comfortable. It is also well worth noting that there is aircon and we had a great sleep both nights. Would recommend if you want a good value base from which to explore the beautiful old town of split. We paid just under 150 kunas a night each.

Unique and quirky

Initially rang the affiliated hostel. They did not have single rooms available, but they had rooms available 2 minutes away at the owners mothers guest house which were linked. The owner was really lovely and gave us directions there when we got lost.

The guest house was actually the mothers house. We shared her large bathroom but we have no idea where the kitchen was because that part of the house was blocked off and private. 

She wrote the price down but, when I asked to keep a copy (it was late and inknew i would not remeber the figure) she said nah, you don't need one. Pay whenever you can. I didn't know how much to get out the bank tho.

I saw her putting on a load of washing that night and was interested. She asked if i needed any thing clean. I said, I might wash tomorrow, could u please show me how it works. "NO". It's too expensive so you have to pay me to wash your clothes (7 kuna- whichc is nothing, I just wanted the independence And to know my clothes aren't take / damaged) :S

I washed my delicates secretly and hung them in my room but did need some necessities washed. As ordered, I put them in a bag by the bathroom in the morning. That night at 11pm they we just starting to be washed!!! I had to leave early the next morning and all my pajamas etc were in the wash so I didn't have much to sleep in. 

The next morning (half an hour before leaving, I found a neatly folded pile of DAMP clothes. So much for electricity, I had the hair dryer on for a almost an hour trying to dry them before I had to pack them. they are now draped around my train compartment trying to dry.

Oh and our accommodation was 3 times more expensive than they said!

Wouldn't bother. Stay in a nice hostel instead.

Arrived late, 9pm to get palmed off to a random lady. Other guests had decided to stay later so our booking was basically useless. Told to walk with lady without explanation as to where we were going, not happy to be palmed off as this was where we booked, close to town and boat for cruise next day. Good location, but we didn't see inside property as handballed off. Could have rocked up and booked with all the other randoms in the street offering rooms.

We arrived in Split several hours after our stated check-in time, but one quick phone call to the owner had her rushing home to let us in. The guest house is on the top floor of a walk-up apartment building across the street from the green market outside Diocletian's Palace. The noise can be a little much, but the modern windows and AC were nice to have. The shared bathroom is very clean and stocked with towels and toiletries. Though modest, this guest house was a superb value for our stay in Split.

Very pleasant stay

I recently stayed at the Guesthouse Bulovic in Split. Our room was large, clean and comfortable with the added bonus of free wi-fi. The guest house is centrally located, only a few minutes walk from the train/ferry/bus stations and the old town of Split. It can be a bit tricky to find as there is no sign to indicate there is a guesthouse, so ask for directions if you haven't already got them!

We arrived in Split at 7am and were lucky enough to be allowed to check in that early as the room was free. There is a shared bathroom (which is very clean), but there were no queues in the morning! The guesthouse is just off a busy road and near a bus stop, so the traffic noise was noticeable in our room with the window open. The apartment is also at the top of the building, so you need to lug your luggage up a few flights of stairs.

Overall, we had a great stay - the guesthouse is clean and comfortable in a great location and I couldn't ask for anything more for the price we paid!
