The guest house is not close to the centre and it's on the top floor with no lift...not easy when you are travelling with heavy bags. There was a strange smell in the room, the air conditioning unit made a loud clicking sound which woke me up in the night. The wifi didnt work properly. We cut our trip short and found alternative accommodation.

Not great

We spent one night here on a long trip, two adults in beds and two children in hair bags. We hadn't booked, we walked in and asked. We found ourselves well enough, despite the four floors walking to get to the room. The owner was very kind. Very comfortable to take a walk downtown, which is quite chaotic for the car.

Essential but clean and economical

We have booked for a week but the guest house seems more adapted to stay 2 days max. 
We had no hair dryer, the WiFi wasn't working properly in our room, the common areas and the room didn't smell good (we had to ventilate the room to be able to breathe when we came back to our day trip) and the bedding was a disaster. 
Fortunately, we had the air conditioner which was working ! 
For 350€/week for 2 people I find it a little bit expensive ...

Bad experience in a guest house in Croatia

Air condition and good room and good price for that moment in august but still expensive for the quality of the place.

20 -25 minutes by walk from the bus station/port city center . Accommodation is on the 4th floor without a lift, in an common Croatia old building communist style. You need to go up the street to go to apartment which in summer is not nice at all. Is not a hotel, is not an apartment , is not a hostel..... it looked abandoned for me.

Nothing special

Stayed here for 2 nights late Sept. the room was basic but had a kettle and towels and was clean. The man on the desk was really friendly and I'd happily stay here again. Very central, 5/10 min walk to old town, port and about 15 from bacvice beach.

Basic but clean and central

10 minute walk to the old town and harbour! Close to shops and a few good cheap eats! Price was good for Split! Great for what we wanted! Good wifi, quiet little local bar next door! Don't forget to push the door to get into the block! People have mentioned the stairs...there's a few flights but it's no problem! Didn't bother us in the slightest. Room could have done with an extra Hoover but never mind! Guy who checked us in was very informative, we were given a map of city and advised on some places to visit! Very helpful! If no one is there press the bell when you get to the top! Someone will come! Decent place for the price! 

Perfect for us!

We stayed here for 5 days and it was a very good experience.We were welcomed by the owner of the boarding house who is a gentlemanly gentleman.The room, in terms of quality and price is great.Air conditioning, WiFi, everything clean, spacious rooms...The only thing that stuck is that it is on a 5th floor without an elevator and we were hit by a heat wave...

A very good option.

It's a small hotel on the fifth floor of a five-story building. It's a 30-minute walk from the historic center. There's no breakfast.

Budgetary option

Good price for the value. Not far from the center, 15 minutes by foot to Dioclecian's palace. The host is friendly & full of information. Rooms are old, but clean and have everything you need. Be aware that the rooms are on fourth floor, without elevator.
