Apartments Ankica

We have had the loveliest 4 nights at Ankora Apartments (not sure if we are in 1 or 2) but ours looked identical to the photos advertised. The photos don't do the place justice and the views are just beautiful, even at night when the fortress is all lit up. Although still small, the apartment was more spacious than we had thought and was so well equipped. The bed was very comfortable and there was very minimal noise from outside. The location of the apartments is absolutely perfect. If you have been to Dubrovnik before you will know that the old town is very busy and noisy at all times. The apartment is less than a 5 minute walk to the entrance to the old town so just a perfect little bit of peace away from the hustle and bustle. The owner's son greeted us on our first day and checked in us once again to check everything was okay and other than this we were left to our own privacy. You do share the terrace and hot tub area with the other apartment but we barely crossed paths and did feel like we had the space totally to ourselves. Parc Gradac (beautiful park where they filmed the Red wedding for Game of Thrones) is a few minutes walk away, and a quirky bar called Art Cafe on the corner of the street that leads to the park had a great atmosphere. We also took advantage of airport transport offered (€35 each way) and the gentleman who drove us was really helpful giving us tips for our stay.
