Sibenik Apartments STARS

We found this place as a pop up on the web, we made a quick call and decided to check it out when we arrived in the town. We had a lot of trouble finding the apartment by car, best advice is to phone Vlado and he'll meet you so that you can follow him. We stayed in the ground floor family room, it was ideal and it had three beds up in the mezzanine level for the kids and we stayed in the ground floor bedroom. The apartment was modern and fresh with all kitchen conveniences and a super treat was the adjacent additional breakfast room. This was separate to the apartment and we only used it for the coffee machine but it was a treat to have fresh and proper coffee each morning. Vlado was so helpful with the parking and to find free parking in the centre of town was a huge bonus. We stayed for 5 nights in the end as Sibenik town had a lot to offer for amazing sunsets, quaint streets and traditional architecture, the St Michael's fortress for superb views and for the convenient location to Krka National park, Promisten, Trogir and Split. We ate out at various places in the town but I would highly recommend Pellegrini's if you are foodies, it must be experienced to be believed. We have fussy children but the restaurant adapted their meals as best they could to suit the children. The wine here, is lush. I ordered the Pellegrini's house red which really was very palatable. Back to the accom, we were so pleased we found this place and we will be recommending it to all of our friends. It's great for kids, it has a washing machine, and all modern conveniences. Only one small detail to be aware of is to time your showers correctly as the hot water is not infinite and at best two showers at a time are possible so best for some of the family to shower at night. Lovely fresh towels and bedding. Very clean inside the apartment, couldn't fault this please, we felt so fortunate to have found it. Don't be put off by the narrow streets to get through to park. You soon get used to it and it becomes second nature, although hairy at first! Thank you to Vlado for his generosity, chocolate for the children, wine for us and some of his wife's celebratory birthday cake, such warm gestures which made our stay so memorable.
