Apartments Villa Andreja Opatija

We were a little dubious prior to our arrival as we had sent several emails to the owners and had received no reply. However, we had nothing to worry about as right from our arrival the owners were friendly and welcoming and made us feel very comfortable. They lived upstairs, above the apartments and were always on hand if needed, but also respected our privacy. We initially found the place hard to find - our sat nav had it listed under a different postcode to the one on the booking information. In case it's of use, the postcode our sat nav found it at was 51211, in the Pobri area. We stayed in the superior apartment for 3 nights. It had a well equipped kitchen (hob, microwave with an oven, fridge and various cooking utensils/crockery), table & chairs, large living area, big bathroom with a washing machine and a double bedroom. It also had a TV and a computer, but we didn't use these. The apartment was clean and well maintained. There was also a table and chairs just outside the front door and more seating in the garden area, which we didn't use. There was private parking and we had a designated parking space right next to our apartment. There is a fabulous restaurant (Zlatni Klub) about 5 mins walk away and a supermarket about 10 mins walk away. There are a few other restaurants close by, but we didn't try any of these. Opatija is approx. 2km down the hill - there is a short cut to the front down some steps which takes about 15-20 mins and brings you out in Volosco which is approx. a further 10 mins walk along the front from Optatja. We would stay here again and definitely recommend.
