Apartments Rossana

We stayed here for a week in early June 2017, the apartment ( 2 bedroom on the top floor) was exactly as in the photographs on booking.com. Clean and tidy with everything you need for a self catering holiday. There is a small local shop that stocks many items from household goods to beer and wine/spirits and a small cafe bar just around the corner too, which is handy. Porec old town is 15-20 minutes walk away, it's downhill on the way but uphill on the way back(obviously!) but steady gradient so not too bad. There are several different ways to get to the town ranging from main road to side road and tree covered pathways. The water pressure is a little low in the apartment, so no 'power shower' effect but we always had hot water. there is a basic bbq on the front terrace, the front terrace is mostly shaded and the larger rear terrace is mostly sunny and being on the top floor, not really overlooked, there is ample patio furniture available. Wifi works well, as does the air-con, the air-con does need to be left on for a while - it doesn't blast cold air out but it will cool the apartment properly, to the point that my wife complained that it was too cold in the bedroom! There is two separate air-con controls, one for the bedrooms and one for the living area which is good. On arrival we were not met by the owner( very nice but doesn't speak a lot of english, but we got by) but a quick phone call and a few minutes later she turned up to show us round the apartment - turns out the apartment was open and ready for us to go in but we didn't realise that at the time! I'm not sure if this is a regular thing or just a one-off. The area is very quiet, even though there are a lot of other properties close by, which makes for a relaxing break. On 'maps' or google it shows no through route( the apartment is in a cup-de-sac) but there is a pathway that leads through the houses down to the beach( turn left out of the apartment gate, past the fire hydrant) This is a grass/stone path for a while so if you're not steady on your feet, keep to the main road but i does get to side roads after a short distance. I can recommend 'Sirena" restaurant, which is on the way to the town(follow the signs for the beach) the food there is excellent, in our experience, and very reasonable but they only accept cash payment - at the time of our visit. Overall a good place to stay for us ( couple 50 y/o), Porec is lovely and we will return.
