Casa del Sole

The appartment is very nice, spacious, airy. It is very well equipped, with modern furniture. There is a bedroom with large comfortable bed and big IKEA armchair. Also the living room is spacy, with sofa, dinning table, large flat TV and the kitchen corner. We found all necessary equipment in the kitchen even for more demanding cooking, though we cooked only tea, coffee and scrambled eggs. Bathroom is also OK. Wi-fi was for free but the signal was sometimes too low. The main plus was definitely the balcony, we had a beautiful sea view. Moreover, the manager Vlado is a nice and extremely helpful person. Unfortunately, despite the above I can't recommend this location. The sea is beautiful and clean but the beach is a disaster - very narrow, with stones and gravels, not well maintained. It is not possible to rent a sunbed and umbrella anywhere so it is very uncomfortable to lay by the sea. But we could survive this. The worst thing is the level of services in the resort which is absolutely unacceptable. Though the village is nice and cozy it seems like frozen in socialist era. Most waiters and shop assistants were very unfriendly, even rude, with "sour face" put on all the time. The worst examples were Ribarska koliba Valentina, shop Konzum or the bar opposite the shop (do not remember its name). They ignore the consumers and one feels like bothering them. I must say that such arrogance spoilt our holiday. It was my first and very last time in Croatia. It is absolutely incomparable with Greece, Spain or Italy. If you still decide to go there, then I highly recommend restaurant Stella Maris which is the only place where you feel welcomed and also the food is very good.
