Very friendly staff and very good attitude  employee compare to other big Hotel.This hotel was built in around more than 100 years ago. But still in good condition and preserve old style constuction style.

My fiancé and I visited your restaurant in January. It was so very cold outside but inside it was so cozy, pleasant and our waitress was so nice to us that we wanted to stay longer only to talk to her.
The food was amazing, fresh, nicely served, seasoned just right. The crepes with wine sauce were the frothiest, fluffiest and biggest crepes I have ever had.
I want to come back to Ogulin only because of hotel Frankopan's staff and food.
The reason I write this so late is that I went to Interslast and Ogulinska masnica was presented there do it reminded me of my great experience.
We'll come back for sure. 

We were a group of nine persons and stayed for three days on half pansion. Waitress as other stuff were so cordial that we had feeling beeing at home.  Meals were delicious and plentiful. Rooms are  spacious and may be only lack of elevator is minus. But as hotel is old building from austroungarian times maybe it couldn't be upgraded.  Located near Frankopan castle from 16 the century, near Giula's abiss and house of Ivana tales. Ogulin is birthplace of Ivana Brlic Mažuranic fairytaless and children books writter in the rank of Anderson. This hotel has our hottest recommendations.

Only decent Hotel in Ogulin and in the area. Good hotel in a very center of Ogulin.Rooms are bit outdated but comfy ,staff is very professional and very friendly.Hotel is in the very old building and you can just feel the history of the place.

Friendliest restaurant staff!

Only decent Hotel in the area

Been there often as a restaurant guest, never seen their rooms though.
Place looks very nice on the outside, restaurant also on the inside. Inside of the restaurant is nice and clean. Cosy. Stuff is very nice.
Food is not very good, unfortunately. Considering it is a four star hotel, they should really work it out how to justify that.

How four stars?

The reality is maximum 3 star, dinner is not worth talking about. Good location, not to far from Lake Plitvice! Quite clean! Service was good! The extra  hall in the cellar provides an opportunity for smaller groups to get together after dinner!

Exaggerated 4 star

We went here for a lunch (ten of us). Horrible experience. We waited for an hour for the food and when we got it, it was tasteless and cold. They apparently don't have a cook as I cannot imagine a cook would do such a poor job. Venison was hard as a tire, stew sauce was foul tasting, gnocchi were cold and almost raw. We returned it, but children luckily managed to eat some of the breaded meat....Never again in this restaruant

Horrible food

Dirty, old rooms. Very loud Outside at night. Loud fridge that is not working anyway, no kettle or coffee maker. Horrible bed and smelly rooms. 

One has to take the stairs with all their luggage and kids to get to the rooms.The hotel looks like a mental hospital from USSR. 

The staff is nice and friendly though.  

You would be better off booking a smaller hotel for cheaper as this hotel clearly does not give value for money . 

To avoid at all cost!

Service is friendly but unprofessional. People clearly have no experience in hospitality. 
This place felt like the world 50 years ago, but a shabby version. We visited as couple with 2 year old child.
A/C wasn't working, they said it was temporary and got fixed. There is a previous review from someone else from July that already stated a broken A/C. So it's definitely not temporary. Our room, 106, was 30°C hot as it's facing the afternoon/evening sun. Outside temperature was 34°C when we arrived at 7:30pm. In the morning, the room was 29°C. Sleeping was impossible, we were completely soaked. Opening windows is not an option as the room faces a main junction and street lights from right outside the room shine right into the bed.
Checked out early (6:30am) as we couldn't sleep. Reception doesn't open before 7am. The cleaning lady was helpful in calling the boss and negotiating a price for us but we should have paid even less.
The shower water doesn't drain (see photo, taken after a quick 3min shower).
Beds are old, short, uncomfortable and worn out mattresses. 

Uzasno / Just Terriblr

Incredibly slow service. Waited for a soup for 45 minutes. Soup was not homemade but from a store... 
Don't do something if you can't do it at least on an average level...we are not comming back
