Our family of six rented this 2-bedroom apartment in June, 2018.  The manager (perhaps the owner) who spoke English, greeted us upon arrival.  She was pleasant and knowledgeable, and gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants.  The apartment was just inside the wall, at the top of the hill.  Thus there were many uphill steps to take from the Strada; the payoff was the quietness of the location.  Everything worked, including the TV and wi-fi.  There was a small balcony from which one could dry clothes.  The price was reasonable.  We have no complaint.  We enjoyed the apartment and would rent it again.

We chose this apartment by the wall near the Buza gate with possibly the most numerous steps directly from the Stradum to avoid the noise and hustle and bustle of staying in the walled in city. We were rewarded by a breathtaking view of the sea, almost the entire rooftops of the city, walls and the fortress. We watched the sunrise and sunset as it colours the rooftop from our bedroom what million of others pay, line up, crowd and sweat climbing the walls. 
The attic studio was spacious, airy, great kitchen with new looking appliances, convenient washer/ dryer. Bed was big and comfortable. 
Ivana the owner with excellent command of English was prompt and helpful throughout our dealing from the States for any questions and suggestions. There in Dubrovnik, she had ready a map with various very useful suggestions from easiest route with fewest steps, post office, supermarkets to restaurants which was on the mark. 
Dubrovnik famed walled in city is a mass tourist museum shaped like a bowl with steps sprouting from the center. If you choose to stay within the wall, take the steps and further away you go, the saner you feel and closer to real life as it would be for the native residents. 
It can get noisy from the nearby restaurant and sound wafting from afar if you keep your windows open but it dies down eventually. Light sleeper use air conditioner.

Great host, good location and the apartment had everything you needed, even a tiny balcony where you could dry your bathing clothes on. Very cosy. 

A lot of stairs to get to it but you could take a longer route and skip the steps. Apartment is next to the northern wall so you could see the people walking on it.

A total of 8 people in our group stayed in these apartment for 3 nights during July. They were very clean and situated just inside the old city wall. Although it was self catering we only ate breakfast there since there were dozens of restaurants and bars close by which we frequented. My wife and I used the top floor apartment and found it to be clean, large and airy. Dubrovnik is a bustling city and was full of tourists during our visit but we found everyone to be friendly and helpful. A walk around the city walls and a trip up the cable car is recommended.

I stayed for 3 nights with my friend, for a wedding. The apartment was great - a good size, clean and amazing air conditioning. We were in the first floor studio apartment, we arrived at night so couldn't see the view at the time, then in the morning we woke up and were stunned by the breathtaking view across the rooftops to the sea! The only downside is the balcony can't really fit two chairs and you can't see the view if you are sitting, but we were mostly out enjoying the city anyway, and it was still nice to have the balcony. Ivana was super helpful and recommended places (including a nearby supermarket for provisions - we went here first thing next morning and got everything we needed for breakfasts, lunches etc). Her husband was also very helpful and friendly, and drove us to and from the airport. Everything went really smoothly with our trip thanks to them! The only thing was all the steps to get there - on the first day we must have gone up and down them about 10 times (very fit legs now) but after that we figured out to take what we needed so we didn't have to return! Dubrovnik itself is an incredible place (the steps are part of the character!) and we really enjoyed our stay.
