I had originally booked a hotel which I then read bad reviews about so decided to book an apartment for some nights later in my week. The correspondence I got was so good that I decided to spend the entire week in this apartment. As a solo female traveller, safety is important, zero worries here. Ana, the owner, is so hands on that you feel like a relative rather than a guest. The apartment was so clean, had everything required, TV with channels if required, a fridge and a hob to make meals if needed. Location was excellent for me, a little out of the busy city but still walkable, buses available just down the road. It's so close to the boat trips to the Islands. I like walking and could walk to old town in about 30 mins. But the no 6 bus can bring you there quicker. Ana even washed clothes for me, checked in to ensure all was well. I couldn't have asked for better service.
