A great apartment while visiting Dubrovnik, in a lovely quiet area, as long as you don’t mind the steps! A grocery shop near by and a lovely terrace to sit on. Gordana was so helpful with any questions we had.

Marjia was a wonderful host. We had a cold beer and wine on arrival. She made a point of coming and speaking to us each day. She gave lots of tips about sights and eating. The room was clean, very comfortable and the sea view was just perfect. It felt like a home. I would definitely stay here again and encourage anyone else to stay here too. She organised a taxi to the airport for us too.

Highly recommend this place to stay when visit Dubrovnik. Great facilities with beautiful view and tranquil area . Kazo Apartments it's situated in a great location to get to all the main sites in Dubrovnik. The host, Marija could not have been more accommodating. She was friendly, welcoming, helpful with local knowledge and could not have made me feel more welcome.

There are 3 rentals in this apartment.  Two rooms share a bathroom and a third room has its own private bath and private terrace.  Kitchen and living room with entrance to all the apartments are shared by all 3 units.  Land lady marija lives downstairs and is very helpful.  She was there to help us carry our suitcase up the 50 steps from the street to the house.
We rented the room with private bath and private balcony.  The balcony is the highlight of the place.  Everything else was quite satisfactory as well.  The house is only a 10 minute walk to the old city main entrance.  Only things I can think of to improve rental apartment would be a less hard mattress and a heavy curtain instead of the sheer one to darken the room for sleeping-in and it would also help muffle the street traffic sound.  Traffic just seems to be a given in Dubrovnik near the old city.

The apartment itself was clean, spacious (with great facilities) and with a sea view. It's situated in a great location to get to all the main sites in Dubrovnik. The host, Marija could not have been more accommodating. She was friendly, welcoming, helpful with local knowledge and could not have made us feel more welcome. I'd go back in a heartbeat. 

We stayed at the upstairs apartment (with balcony) at the Kazo for a week in late June.  The room was a good size with plenty of cupboard & storage space.  There was a large balcony with views of the Adriatic Sea , the Minceta Tower and Lovrijenac Fortress (the last two beautifully lit at night).  The bathroom was very spacious with an excellent powerful shower.  With the weather being extremely hot & humid during our stay, not dropping below 29C (at night) the air-con (which worked perfectly) was our saviour.  Owners Marija & Kazimir were very helpful but not intrusive, giving us any information that we needed about Dubrovnik and the surrounding areas.  I believe there are three apartments to rent with a shared kitchen (not a small kitchenette but a proper kitchen with oven, grill, hot plates, large fridge etc where you can cook proper meals if required).  The apartments are ideally situated above the old town of Dubrovnik (about a 10 minute walk away) although the walk up several sets of steps back to the apartment may not suit people with walking difficulties.  If you are looking for comfortable accommodation within close reach of the old town I would recommend the KAZO Apartments without hesitation.

First off Marja is a terrific hostess. Great communication before we arrived and terrific welcome and support while we were there. We booked the double room ( king size bed) with the balcony sea view and ensuite bathroom. Cost was $45 Euro a night. Very clean and comfortable and you look directly out to Fort Lovrijenac, and less than a 100 metre walk down the street is the Gornji Ugao Tower which forms the northwest corner of Dubrovniks old city wall. A walk down the stairs located just in front of this tower and you are at Pile Gate which is one of the entrances to the old town walled city. Pile gate is also the city bus stop for all of the local bus routes.  You can walk into Old town very easy from here and the walk back up all those steps will keep you in shape. Alternatively if you wanted to cactch bus # 8 from Pile Square, buy a ticket for $12 kuna at the ticket stand, put it in the machine by the driver to validate it when you get on and ride out to the bus depot before looping back to town. The 2nd stop on Zagrebacka street is less than 50 metres up the road from here. The cafe Binkys is across the street from this stop. Walk down the street go across the crosswalk and walk up the steps (about 20 steps) . You will see the sign for apartment Kazo, green door, use the buzzer and Marja will let you in.   This is also a good way to arrive if you take the airport bus in to town as it stops at Pile Gate before going to the bus depot.
