Our hostess was amazing. Helped us find restaurants and the best sites to see while visiting Dubrovnik old city. Apartment was clean and well stocked. Parking is available. Great location, all sites are within walking distance.

Amazing place

I couldn’t find a better guest house like that.The room was clean,hosts were very hospitable and friendly.I stayed three days but i’m sure if i go again in Dubrovnik i will choose it again.Maria was a wonderful lady...I have a lot reviews to do in Balkan but now i prefer enjoying them 😍

Splendid accomodation

The Guest House Maria Bilicic is a place of tranquility an pleasant walking distance from the Pile Gate and the busy happenings of Dubrovnik. The large spacious porch with an outdoor cooking area is filled with antiques and old stoneware. It offers a lush walled in private garden with blooming jasmine and roaming tortoises. The rooms are quiet and beds are amply comfortable. The best aspect however is Maria herself who is extremely helpful, informative, welcoming and is a genuinely kind and interesting person. High recommendations. We have stayed elsewhere in Dubrovnik. But no more, here is our clear number one choice.

Place of Tranquility 

Our group of 4 stayed 2 nights in the two bedroom apartment upstairs. There was a little balcony with an amazing view. 

Maria the owner picked us up from the bus station and wecwere greeted like family.

Our apartment had everything we needed, two bedrooms a tiny kitchen and a charming lounge/dining area. Everything was spotless and the beds comfortable.

Maria took the time to sit and show us how to get to all the places we wanted to see.

Highly recommended and we will return on our next journey to Croatia.


Home away from home

Hospitality that I've seen was really amazing. Maira is the best hotel owner that I've ever seen. She is really very positive and she reflects this positivity to you. The guest house itself has a perfect balcony and the rooms are very clean. The location of the hotel is very good and Maria provided us private parking. If I'll go one more time, I will definetly choose her guest house!

Best Choice for Dubrovnik

Maria is an attentive and good host. Her guest house is in a convenient walking distance to the old town but it is quite steep and there are lots of steps. The room we had was small but super clean as was our bathroom. There are cooking facilities plus fridges to keep your supplies in. Maria picked us up from the bus terminal and also organised our taxi to the airport. If she had been home she would have taken us to the airport. She is a lovely lady!

Very convenient.

We stayed 2 nights at Marija's house, which rents rooms with a shared kitchen on its terrace. The apartment is 10 minutes' walk from old Dubrovnic, bus No. 8 passes by, which is nice when it's very hot and you don't want to go up on foot... The room is a little small but well equipped, with refrigerator. The private bathroom is separated from the room by a hallway but it's not really awkward. Marija is extremely welcoming and helpful, she comes to meet you to help you find her parking space, accompanies you to the room price, on arrival and departure...

Very good address

After 10 nights in Croatian suites, I can say that it is the worst I have ever been. First of all, it doesn't have the suites/apartments that most people have, so it doesn't have a recognized suites. Then it gives you a small room with a bathroom in the hallway and no change of sheets. Then you have a community kitchen in the yard where the utensils to use leave a little to be desired in terms of cleaning. As for personal treatment, it offers you services that you don't want, such as taking places and when you're ready to go, it says no. As for a holiday you have to climb 150 steps up steep slopes, it's not downtown but it has an eastern handicap. I think there are many better quality suites/prices in Dubrovnik. Of the 6 suites in the state, it's the only one I recommend.

 disappointing.

We had a very good stay at Maria Bilicic's house which is very friendly and very good advice. Her terrace where we could prepare and eat our meals is very nice. However, given the comments on tripadvisor and Maria's descriptive email, we were a little disappointed. The guest room is not 5 minutes walk away as we wrote Maria but 10 or 15 minutes away (at the return it climbs!). The sea view we promised Maria is actually rather a street view with the sea hidden by buildings. Free parking is not always available. None of this was very embarrassing but we would have preferred to know it before. We recommend this hostel in which we were very well received.

All right, but a little lie.
