Split Riva Promenade Apartments

The location of thr Riva Apartments is is so very magical. We stayed in the Prisca. I Split is an amazing, fascinating, wonderful mix of ancient and modern, and the apartment straddles both worlds. From the balcony we looked down on the modern, exciting, vibrant waterfront Riva promenade with its al fresco cafes, free musical entertainment, and the endless access to people-watching. Yet, upon leaving the front door of the apartment we were immediately transported to 305 AD (minus the tourists) and into the stone alleyways and paved streets that the Ilyrians, Greeks, Romans and so many more walked so long before us. The apartment itself is in the exact location where the Dioclesian emperor had his quarters. Split nightlife is alive, vibrant, and has something for everyone - young and old. My husband and I are 70, but we were swept up in the nightlife and stayed up as late we possibly could to be a part of it. And then there's Paula who everyone reads about if reading these reviews. She was our anchor and go-to girl - she knew everything and everyone and we don't know how we would have gotten along without her. Thank you Paula (and Katrina) for all your help. We will be back next year!!!
