Great place, great value, great location, great breakfast. The pool was a bit small, but the ocean and beach are only minutes away. TV was poor, if that's important to you. Stayed for 6 nights.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a fantastic experience! From the moment I arrived, the staff were friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and cozy, which made my stay even more enjoyable.One of the highlights was the breakfast. There were plenty of options to choose from, and I opted for the traditional Costa Rican Gallo Pinto with local tortilla. It was delicious—full of flavor and the perfect way to start my day after running the Tamarindo Marathon. The convenience of having parking spaces right in front of the hotel was a big plus, especially with the added security of a guard on the property. It made me feel safe and at ease throughout my stay. I highly recommend this hotel and would love to return!

Checking in early is a bit tricky, but that's normal. The staff was super attentive. the breakfast in the morning was amazing and Daniela at the front desk was helpful. Everything was perfect. Prob the only weird/annoying this was that it seemed like there was always something going on during the morning - construction, or landscaping, something!

Casa Leona is a very cute and quiet boutique hotel within walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay.

Casa Leona is the nicest accomodation here. Located in the beautiful garden, studios with balcony, patio and kitchen corner Are super cosy and romantic! A terrace with a pool is great. Staff is fantastic! Women are super friendly. They make perfect homemade omelette, juice, piňa, toasts and coffee. I am sorry that I have to leave 😭. Me and my husband, we had wonderful end of honeymoon here. You must try Casa Leona! 

The hotel was a little oasis, it was set back from the town so more peaceful. The room was tastefully decorated. The landscaping of the area was beautiful and the howler monkeys came into the nearby trees in the morning.  The staff were really friendly although we needed to use Google translate but we understood each other in the end. 

This place is like a little gem, a little hidden but definitely walkable to town and the beach. Very surprised at how complete and delicious the breakfast was. They make it for you and it comes out fast. We will stay here again in the future.

Great Quaint Stay

We had a great stay here, we had a few teething issues which were quickly resolved by the owner when he was at the property the next day. We borrowed a surf board, which was a great option to have. The property is about 10-15 min walk to the beach, close enough to the main area but also far enough away to ensure it is quiet in the evening. They accommodated early check in and an early breakfast for us on check out day. We enjoyed breakfast each morning.

Unique studios and villa in the heart of Tamarindo

Little oasis.

This location and its owners, employees and family are just simply fantastic.

After a nightmare 14 hour journey to the hotel due to a strike blocking roads and where we got stuck our help came in the form of Daniella.

The sweetest and kindest reception / co ordinator / hotel owner daughter you will ever find. She was just incredible.

Her willingness to listen and support a guest of whom she had not even met yet and whom had actually booked the wrong date was extraordinary. 

The location is brand new and is spotless from top to bottom. The beds are very comfortable and the room elegantly set to perfection. Feels like home from home.

The location is perfect for Tamarindo. Very quiet and secluded yet close enough to town and the action.

This will be the only place my family will stay going forwards in Tamarindo.

Daniella you are a credit to yourself and to your family. Keep up the excellent work.

First class I truly cannot say enough so I will say no more.



Words Dont Do Justice 

Excellent welcoming from the hosts and a neat service throughout our stay. The place offered a lot of space in which my family could really feel comfortable while having fun by the pool. Delicious breakfast delivered every morning of our stay. There are many activities and tours offered by the staff which really helped experience the full pura vidan lifestyle. The place is very well located in the Tamarindo area, a walking distance to any activity in Tamaringo. Loved our stay!

My family and i would totally come back to Costa Rica only to stay here.

Our group of 5 couples was more than pleasantly surprised at the entire experience of Casa Leona.  The rooms are all different but very nice.  The amenities are not unlike the high end resorts, with great maids, and little extras they’ve thought of. The owners Brad and Evelin are friendly and generous which made us feel right at home. The location is exactly as described and within walking distance to everything, yet in a quiet neighborhood away from the loud nightlife. Thanks for a great vacation Casa Leona! 

Perfect for us!

Perfectly located just a few blocks from the hustle and bustle of downtown Tamarindo! Brad and Evelyn are welcoming, kind and very helpful! We had an interesting mishap on arrival and Brad and a crew of his amigos helped us out. Julia, one of the staff was also excellent and made delicious breakfasts!! (Highly recommend the coconut banana pancakes).  This is the kind of place I would love to book the whole B&B with our extended family in the future!

Fantastic welcoming oasis!

Comfortable is an understatement when describing Casa Leona. My husband and I happened upon this oasis in the bustling beach town of Tamorindo when travelling extensively through Costa Rica. Evelyn and her charming daughter Danni have put a lot of effort and love into thoughtfully accommodating their guests. The spa quality toiletries, linens, tasteful local art and furnishings, beach bikes, boogie boards, games, books and gourmet breakfasts were perfect. The courtyard with pool, comfy furniture and beautiful kitchen provided a fun, warm atmosphere to meet and socialize with other guests from around the world. I hope one day we'll be fortunate enough to return to this slice of paradise. A special thank you to Danni for her attentive interaction, much needed translation and polite thoughtfulness.
