Hostal Casa Areka Costa Rica

I stayed in this hostal for almost a month, the last month I spent in San José studying in the University of Costa Rica. The view of the place is amazing, and having breakfast there everyday cheers you up from the beginning of the day. There is also a small yard with and hammock where you can relax and read every day. The host is really welcoming and friendly, and he was always willing to help me with any of my doubts: He has tons of information about the city itself and about really nice places that you can visit in Costa Rica. The location of the hostal it's really close to the UCR, so it's perfect for students. Evenmore, it's also really close to the Outlet Mall, a key point for lot of buses to move inside San José. Also, just in front of the Outlet Mall there are always buses that take you to San José, where you can get a bus to go almost anywhere inside Costa Rica. There are supermarkets close to the place and, evenmore, you can find during the morning farmers that sells their products in vans behind the Outlet Mall. In summary, if you are going to stay in San José, this is your place.
