Mary, the hostel's owner, was very kind to us, any doubts we had she resolved with pleasure.The place is beautiful and cozy, has many common areas so it is easy to talk to other travelers and enough bathrooms (and very clean!).

Hostel with good atmosphere.

It's a simple hostel with shared kitchen and bathroom.We're very welcomed by Mery the hostel owner and by Lucas and Bruno who are in charge of the place.The location is very good and both Mery and the kids provide you with information about places, times, prices and tips you may need.

Very welcoming.

We booked for a couple of days but the selection was perfect for returning several times more. You have what you need: parking, barbecue, good music, budget tours, and a large garden to exercise in the morning. We were welcomed with open arms and met people from multiple cultures with whom to share the good vibe and group meals. We felt literally at home. It is an economic hostel with all the necessary amenities and above all very clean. The ideal location to enjoy the adventure and return to the evening to rest away from the noise of the downtown area that is very close to the road if you want to party. In this recreation there is always something to entertain with. Many personal and especially thanks to Mary who went to inform us about the best of Puerto Rico and the surrounding areas of life.

Me and my partner came there in the afternoon, without priorly reservating or contacting the hostel, so this must be taken in consideration. We probably had a strange look on our faces cause we were very tired from whole day traveling ...
- BUT whole situation arriving there was very strange and unproffesional - the staff or tourists (not sure really) "welcomed" us with glares on their faces and asked us 

"Who are you?!" 
- "Hi, we are looking for a room, do you have a vacancy maybe?"
"What?!"
- "Do you have vacancy, free rooms?"
"No, we're full"

So we turned our backs and said "Ok, bye" and left in silence, nobody bothered to say "sorry, maybe next time" or similar ...

It felt like coming into a closed "fret-type" hostel, which is not welcoming random guests, so it can't be advertised as a "hostel".

what was that

Stayed here with a friend of mine for one night during the end of a trip to Puerto Viejo. The location is awesome, a little off the main strip it is nice and quiet. The hostel itself is clean and there was filtered water provided which was a first of all the hostels we stayed while in Costa Rica. The staff were friendly and helpful, kitchen was nice and there are storage lockers in multiple sizes available. Overall great visit and would definitely stay here again.

Great location and clean !

A very clean and quiet hostel. There are also friendly people and the prices for sleeping are low. There is a kitchen and you can rent a bicycle. There are many lockers with backpacks and electronic equipment.

We spent several nights in this super friendly, very clean hostel with a very nice garden. The owner is very laid-back and available. The room on the top floor is super coconut!

This is a lovely hotel.

We were the most centrally located hostel that was close to town, easy access to all nearby national parks, bus terminal and the hostel itself was well kept with helpful and friendly staff! We had a great time exploring Cahuita, Manzanillo and Puerto Viejo! One of the safest, cleanest and for sure best location!

Amazing hostel with great location

Pros:
- Generally clean
- Rooms appeared to be well maintained
- The owners were very helpful, in terms of local amenities and places to eat etc.
- The kitchen was well equipped, had most things as well as condiments for public use.
- Water machine was great. Hot, normal and cool water which was a bonus!
- Two adorable little kittens made it very homely.

Cons:
- One of the toilets were blocked, was not resolved in our two nighy stay
- When it came to paying, they asked for dollars. If not, you could either pay by card (note: 5% extra added on) or you could pay using colon (but a rate of $1= 540 colon.. AWFUL!). The reason I mention this is because the national bank would give you 561 colon for $1. Even in town the lowest we'd seen (street food place) was 550. Thought it was worth a mention. You are best off paying with dollars cash.

Decent place but bad rate for paying by Colon's

the hostel is located a bit out of the center which i liked because it was pretty quiet at night.
the beds were semi comfortable, but clean. Room was super stuffy, hot and confined. There wasn’t even enough space to bring your luggage into the room.
Bathroom, kitchen and common area were quite grubby. But i liked that they had hot water in the shower.
DO NOT rent bikes there, not in good conditions and you can get them for cheaper at other places in town. 
Now i wanna point out the thing that really bugged me about this place: The staff there were incredibly disorganized and chaotic! That wouldn’t have been that much of a problem but when i left they accused me by mail of not having paid for my stay and that i should immediately do so. 
The thing is i paid right when i arrived there in the beginning but with their helter-skelter they have going on there they didn’t keep track of that. Even when i explained that i did pay they didn’t believe me asked again to pay them online.That’s a very unprofessional way to deal with customers and should not happen!! 
Yeah so i would NOT ever go there again and don’t recommend anyone else to go there, there’s plenty other options in town
