This is a very unique, hardy travel experience. The view from right out their door is truly breathtaking, the pictures do not do it justice (and I thought the pictures looked great!). From one of their plots of land you can see all the way down to the beach (near Uvita) and if you're up for the long hike (I think 4-6 hrs) you can make it down there. The are many shorter hikes in the area and I highly recommend horseback riding with Chema. I'm a very inexperienced rider but this was a highlight of the trip. I have to say another highlight of the trip was Marga's fantastic cooking! Her Lasagna is pretty amazing. Don't forget there is no electricity so dinner is by candle light! Chema is extremely passionate about sustainable living and the school he is developing to teach local costa ricans. I felt like a learned a great deal. It's definitely not for everyone, but if you have an open mind and an adventurous spirit I highly recommend a visit!
