To get there is rough if you don't have a 4 wheel drive. But, when you arrive it feels as a place out of this world. Really nice owners, peaceful and also you can cook in the grill.

It's a little Paradise for real 😁

My fiancé and I did not want to stay in the town of Quepos do to the hustle and bustle. So we searched and found this little gem of a place that was 20 min up inthe mountains. Rodolfo and Mari were very nice folks!  The brought us in and showed us our rooms for the night along with the land where the b&b is. Later that night we all, along with two other guests sat around and got to know each other until about midnight. Bottom line, great accommodations, great people, super comfortable, wonderful food!!

Little paradise is something wonderful!!!

Clean and pleasant place. I know the village and it was hard for me to find. Note that the map on the hotels.com website is wrong....most will never find the place after dark. You need to drive to the bridge, then take a left uphill away from the bridge about 200 yards.....a skinny driveway entrance on the lefthand side just after the top of the hill. Then drive 100 yards. The owners are very friendly. A good value. You can pay extra for food or bring your own and store in the kitchen fridge. I did this for breakfast. The owner is Swiss-German, so very good for German speaking tourists who want a more natural out of the way place. His English is also very good.

Very good stay!!

We travelled around Costa Rica and were booking hotels as we went.   Found this hotel and we couldn't have been happier!  The host was such a lovely guy (we actually went back the following night as we loved it so much)  He dogs are amazing!  We actually miss Bandito!The house has an open upper floor.  In the evenings you can watch the sun go down and in the mornings, it's the most perfect setting for sunrise.  Arriving to the house is a little difficult because of the roads, we would recommend a 4x4, we had one, you will need it for 90% of the roads in CR.  It's very bumpy, dusty and dark but once you find the house, you are made to feel welcome straight away.  We were watered and fed and spent the next few hours talking about where to go next.   Out of all the hotels we stayed in (7 in total) this was by far the best one.  We have already made plans to travel back to CR and we would, without hesitation, stay here again.  Actually would go out of our way to stay again,

We loved this house!

We had only booked one night at "A Little Paradise" but we loved it and were able to stay another night! Driving to "A Little Paradise"we had to drive down a gravel road for about 8 km or less (not totally sure). During the dry season no 4x4 is required but a SUV recommended. Just drive slow. When we got there it seemed truly like a little paradise. Diversity of plants and animals/birds was incredible and our hosts were so passionate about their place and a wealth of information about costarican life. The drive from there to Manuel Antonio is only about 30 min and to a beautiful Ecopark only about 20 min (this drive is a little bumpier). There is also a Vanilla farm near by, we were not able to see because of holiday hours:((Easter holidays).

A quaint little B&B

The house was beautiful, but you don't know that till it's right in front of you. The drive was deceiving, the road to get there is dirt and rock so make you have a decent car. I missed the entrance because it wasn't visible (make sure to download the offline version of maps, you will be lost without it) but once we found it it was a narrow road with nothing but forest on each side. We drove up and were told to park next to a shed. We thought that was our hotel and I was ready to cry, but when you keep talking down you see a picturesque house in the middle of the forest. The cicadas were so loud (at night they calm down). We got there in time to watch the sun setting, truly breathtaking. The house itself is very cute; with hammocks, a little tv, clean room and bathroom, and pretty views. The owners were very sweet.

Very nice people. Place was a bit hard to find and the road wasn't paved.  It was surrounded by beautiful flora. You have pay with cash. Shared bathroom though it was really nice. Breakfast wasn't included (so it's not a real bed and breakfast- just bed )

"The location is great in very quite place few minutes from Quepos caos, surrounded by vegetation and wild sounds. The owners Mary and Rudolf are absolutely nice they are always available to support you and to have speeches if you like but also fully respectful of your privacy. The room is simple with a large bathroom, very clean in spite to the fact that you are in a rural environment. You can relax outside on the external area reading or checking email (by WiFi hotspotted on 4G), listening the natural sounds of sourraundin forest. Suggest if you like, as my self, escape from the Quepos frenesia but without be so far. At 3 minutes driving is Lourdes a small village with shop (recharge of local phone available), restaurant, ice cream shop."

Great place for relaxing, not far from Quepos

I just wanted to review A little paradise B&B for other travelers in case they are interested. 

First, full disclosure - I made a reservation through Booking.com and did NOT end up staying there after arriving to the property. I opted to leave after seeing the place in person and here is why...

Know that the owners are super sweet. They were so nice and wanted to accommodate the best they could, but due to reasons I will explain they couldn't. 

It is important to know that I was traveling with my mother and my 3 year old son. We requested a room with two double beds. Prior to arriving we spent 4 nights, 3 days at the Arneal Observatory Lodge in La Fortuna. The AOL was located on the mountain and fairly isolated from town and the access road was about 10km of very rough road. 

With that said, after driving five hours from La Fortuna to Quepo, we really wanted to stay closer to the action. The road leading to the B&B was similar to what we had just experienced in La Fortuna. Unpaved, dirt and stone. It was roughly 9kms to the B&B. 

The coordinates provided didn't quite get us to the B&B, but I tried going a little further and saw a little sign pointing in the direction of travel stating it was 600 m. 

After driving on a rough road, we went up a hill and came to a wooden gate, which required you to get out and open yourself. You then drive down more unpaved road until you reach their property. 

Again, the owners were so sweet. The property is actually quite interesting and lovely. The building was two levels and very open. The "ocean view" room with two double beds was a bit misleading. There is no ocean anywhere near the property. The property is VERY isolated and would require a very bumpy ride every time you came and left. 

The room was small, but it would have been okay for just me. They offered to give us both available rooms - one on the bottom floor and one on the second floor, but that wasn't really going to work. 

Additionally, the bathroom is shared and on the second floor, so be aware of that if you have a tendency to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. 

The owners slept on a bed in a corner on the second floor, which was surrounded by curtains. 

On the property were three dogs (all adorable!), a cat and chickens. Monkeys were all over and it was wonderful to see them in the trees. 

I didn't inquire about the meals, but I know from the Booking site they charge extra for breakfast and dinner. I'm sure they would provide space if you brought your own food. 

I do feel they were overpriced given the location and amenities. I'm sure other B&B's and hostels would be more reasonably priced, in a better location. 

If you are coming to Quepos to get away from civilization then this place is for you! If you want to be near the activities, including the national park, beach and restaurants, then I would reconsider. 

Oh, even though the location is remote, I was concerned about security. I'm sure it wasn't intended, but the owners did mention the property had been burglarized and that even the dog was a little shaken up by it! 

So because of everything written above, my family opted to go into Quepos and stay. We ended up at Costa Verde, which was way more expensive, but well worth it and the views were truly ocean views!
