The location is amazing.  Views are great.  You need a car (preferably a 4x4) , it's pretty tough to get around Dominical without one.  Also make sure you have whatsapp so you can communicate with local businesses. 

The room is simple and clean.  Smells a bit moldy and wet (expected) There are 2 beds with sheets and pillows (no blankets).  There's an AC (which tripped every time it rained and eventually stopped working - but they fixed it the next day <3), a small fridge (which we thought was broken, but wasn't actually plugged in), so check.  There's a good closet, but there are no hangers, and I had to makeshift the closet to hang a pole across. 

The bathroom is basic, and you should bring everything with you.  They give you a small bar of soap, but you should bring shampoo etc. with you.  The tiles by the toilet and shower are a bit loose and the grout between them (by the toilet) is non-existent, so you can see through to the ground.  It was a bit nerve racking but by the end we had lost our fear of using the toilet.  And there is hot water, but it's not easy to figure out how to get it hot...by the end we had a way...but our neighbors weren't so lucky.  

There's no sleeping in, there are blinds on the side of the cabina, but the curtains don't block out the light.  My friend saw monkeys on our balcony one morning, but I wasn't so lucky.   

We paid when we arrived in cash.  We were quoted one price, but it was actually more expensive (not much) so double check.  Also make sure you download whatsapp so you can communicate with the people who run the place.  It seems like the people who work in the restaurant are loosely connected to them cabinas but not officially.  The wifi isn't bad, but some days were better than others.  It was a bit of a mission to figure that out.

We also asked them to change our towels, and the lady came and cleaned the room and switched out the towels, which was awesome.  

The restaurant location is incredible.  The drinks and juices are fresh and I would suggest ordering the local dishes like the rice and beans or chicken and rice.   The restaurant only opens at 11am. 

It's easy to walk down to the beach too, but you have to walk a bit in order to jump in the water.  Take cash with you because even though most places take cards, the businesses on the water are mostly cash only and if you want a coffee or drink while you are there that's the best bet.

Because this was so affordable, we didn't really feel like we could make many demands on the place.  If you're easy going and on a budget then keep this place a wonderful secret for the people you love.  We loved staying there.  Thank you La Parcela.

BEAUTIFUL VIEW & VERY SIMPLE ACCOMODATION

We recently stayed in one of the cabins at La Parcela, and we were very happy with our decision to stay there. Though the cabin we stayed in could use some maintenance, it was comfortable and worked very well for us. We had 2 queen beds, TV with satellite, refrigerator and coffee maker, shower with hot water, and WiFi. All of that was nice, but it was the views that blew us away. It was amazing throughout the day, but especially in the morning. In addition, white faced capuchin monkeys visited our cabin each afternoon, and that was fun to see.

I agree with many of the other reviews. You can’t beat the view and the sounds of the ocean. I felt inspired by the location and want to move here for a month and write my memoir. The cabins are defiantly rustic on the positive end or run down on the negative end. Half our lights didn’t work. The fan didn’t have an off switch, no mugs for the coffee pots etc. fridge worked great, AC worked great. Bed was comfortable. We saw a troop of white faced monkeys at the beach.  Sitting on the porch overlooking the sea was brilliant. Didn’t try the restaurant. Staff checked us in and we didn’t see them again. Has toilet paper and a small bar of soap. I would come again for longer. 

Beautiful view, rustic, excellent AC

A tour guide booked for us so I didn't pay for the cabin directly. The beds were totally fine, the view was spectacular and the restaurant excellent, though very slow one of the two nights we ate there. We stayed four nights.I was most disappointed in the rest of the cabin. There was a coffee maker but no mugs or coffee or condiments. T.V. didn't work. Internet was sketchy. The bathroom was badly in need of a coat of paint. The pipe draining the bathroom sink had a hole large enough that when rinsing underwear, the water splattered into the vanity underneath. Rustic is fine,  but this was downright shabby. The very worst was the sliding glass entrance door wouldn't open or close properly unless locked, making it awkward if one person was on the veranda and one person inside. And such a loss of air conditioning with the gap between doors!!

Run down place with a spectacular view.

We stayed here for 1 night in February. Cabins are affordable but a bit run down. The AC was great though! The view and location is next to none. If they would just spend a little money fixing these up it would be a 5+star hotel. We enjoyed eating at the restaurant although a little pricy compared to the Cabanas. The sunset a little walk away was one of our favorites of our trip. So beautiful. This is a place that you will need a car to get to as it is off the main road probably a half mile or so. Also, if you are not strong enough to carry your luggage up a steep walk way, this is not for you. We were lucky to arrive while it was still light so we could see where we were going. 
There is a lot of wildlife around such as monkeys, armadillo's, Iguanas, etc. Loved that we got to experience staying here and would stay again whether it is fixed up or not. We really liked it.

Location is amazing

This hotel is perfect, has low cost, internet, restaurant, parking, spacious beds and the most beautiful view of the sea.Yes, we had problems because the cable TV was not working when we visited it, but the owner is super friendly and the service compensates well.

The place with the most beautiful view.

We have stayed at La Parcella several times.  It is one of the best locations in the Uvita area, as it sits out on a peninsula, surrounded by water.  But, we don’t understand why the owners don’t invest more money into fixing them up.  Don’t get me wrong, they have done some things (i.e., painting), but when you see mold on the ceilings, and holes in the floor boards, you are a bit apprehensive about staying there.  

There are only 4 units, and it is quite a hike up a steep hill to get to some of them.  But, for convenience, seclusion, and relaxation, this is a nice place to stay.  They have wonderful decks that overlook the ocean.  And, the open air restaurant is nice too, although it’s only open for lunch and dinner.  Make sure that you have a car as the property is about ½ mile from the highway.

Magical quiet place with great views of the Pacific Ocean. Fairy! Live! Comfortable and clean! Restaurant The plot has two floors with good map but no small dejs. Free parking on site

Just exceptional.

The cabins are rustic, but the deck on the cabin has the best view around.  La Parcela restaurant provides a great lunch and nice drinks.  Service is slow sometimes, but with that view, who cares.  The cabin is on stilts and did shake a little when we walked in it.  Wouldn't want to be in it during an earthquake.

Reasonable price for a great view

Some cabins need maintenance (walls with hollows, shutters) just make sure the cabin assigned to you is a good one (cabin 1 is in good condition) the staff is friendly.
