This place was a highlight of our trip.  My family loved the hot pools and it's amazing paths and views.  We ate at the restaurant on site 2 times and really enjoyed it.  The staff is very friendly and helpful.  Our bungalow was fantastic other than the hard spring feeling beds.  We woke up to every toss and turn, but other than that this place was exactly what we were looking for and needed.  Very beautiful and clean.

The Spring Waters are amazing, so natural inside the forest. It is a must.

The hotel is located in a privileged location, the landscapes are incomparable, but the facilities in general are very neglected and it is noticeable that they lack maintenance, the restaurant can be summed up in one word, Nefasto! the food is truly terrible and quite expensive, I will not explain myself as a place with so much potential and not paying attention to these basic aspects, it is very unfortunate.

We spent a few hours at the hot springs and rescued the very good care of the staff, however, the facilities where the hot springs are located look old, dirty, unmaintained.The bathrooms are totally dirty, impossible to change on the spot.

El lugar Termales del Bosque is abandoned, the maintenance is minimal, it seems that in the past it was a good hotel but now it is not. The breakfast was generally bad, the past fruits with bad taste and the typical style breakfast I do not wish it to anyone. The pinto tasted horrible and the rice was hard, the ripe banana was green and the egg was made over some pan on which something else had already been prepared.

A bad experience is visiting the Hotel Termales del Bosque.

The hot springs were a wonderful and relaxing experience! The location of the springs is reached by a path through the forest. It’s like walking through the jungle and at the end reaching a glorious area of hot spring pools in which to relax. There’s a very rustic changing area and lockers, but also a bar with food. It was a hidden gem! I highly recommend it!

Day trip to the thermal hot springs

The receptionist couldn't respectfully challenge the different demands we made. At the bar in the thermals they didn't give us a price and then they charged us more than they told us at the beginning and they protested that it wasn't their problem. The cocktail of 'cortesia' was charged. At the departure we went to make a formal complaint but they didn't do anything because there were only the two receptionists who clearly couldn't do anything. In the bar there was a smell of rotten food and it was very difficult to stay close. A week and a half later and there was no one to be able to solve the problem of the extra charge.

Pessima attention to the client.

Let me start off by stating the rooms at Termales del Bosque are moderately priced (we got a dinner, breakfast, room and entrance to Termales for about $70 US), so you have to consider what you are getting for the cost of your stay.  Yes, the rooms are lackluster - no fridge and the mattresses are thin, but you have Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and a shower.  The free breakfast is a traditional CR breakfast and we weren't provided any alternative options, which we  were ok with.  The Termales were  a lot of fun for us (we are healthy 50 year-olds), and the trek down the path (during the day) was just fine for us.  While there, we had a true Costa Rican downpour and watched as the river filled up and rushed by, but no worries, you are safe and sound and can return to your car (or room) with no problem.  This undoubtedly is a place that is frequented by locals and travelers alike.  We went during a weekday, so the pools were not very crowded and it was neat to experience what felt like an authentic experience.

Beautiful Property, Springs are Great, Rooms Lackluster

Not a 5-star hotel, not a 5-star spa - but a mysterious, nature-bound place in the middle of the jungle, reached on a 400-meter-long cobblestone road after paying the entrance fee. The way to the thermal is already an experience in itself, and then we're there - there's about 7-10 pools with water between 48 and 32 degrees Celsius warm, all naturally surrounded by walled stones, surrounded by dense jungle and right by a small stream - just one-time, natural and absolutely relaxing and quiet.

Electricity service in the hot springs / forest is included until 9:30 pm. If you are in the forest around that time they turn off the light and you are completely dark in the middle of the forest, where only a bulb or two can shine on you. They do not distinguish or discriminate if it is a rainy day with dangerous animals to turn off the lights when leaving after the mentioned time, along a path of around 300m, a total risk to attend this hotel. Caution.

Si estás dentro del bosque alrededor de esa hora te apagan la luz y quedas completamente a oscuras en medio del bosque, donde solamente un foco o dos pueden alumbrarte.

No distinguen o discriminan si es un día lluvioso con animales peligrosos para apagarte las luces al salir luego de la hora mencionada, por un camino de alrededor 300m, un total riesgo asistir a este hotel.
