The name does not match the situation because even though the beach is on the other side of the road, you cannot access it. Because the beachfront properties are glued together and do not allow access to the beach, you will have to walk a good quarter of an hour before arriving at Playa Negra and a half hour walk to reach Cahuita where the park is located. The bungalow is basic without climate with a small ventilation, the kitchen is a rather nice, bedding, shower with the right warm water but everything remains very basic. The hosts are very nice and very dedicated.

Booked a room on December 1st. Received a confirmation and confirmed the booking directly with the lodge. 

Today we received a message letting us know “your room is no longer available” and that they would be cancelling. Say what? You just give away a room that’s been confirmed for months. Leaving us 5 weeks out from our trip with no room. 

Don’t stay here if you actually want to get a room. This lodge could care less that customers are left scrambling for last minute reservations.

I spent 3 nights here and I don't know where to start. A HUGE THANK YOU to Alberto for his kindness and kindness and above all his availability (thanks also to his wife ☺️). The bungalow was charming and very functional: shower bed and even a kitchen available and especially VERY clean :) We feel at home. Breakfast was excellent (3 formulas are offered, Alberto asks us the day before). The lodge is near the beach, restaurants and activities.

A Real Paradise on Earth and for Mankind

Excellent location, quiet, peaceful, peaceful, clean, excellent service, excellent human quality, perfect place to rest.The place is safe, close to the center of Cahuita and 30 minutes from Puerto Viejo, Cocles y Manzanillo.

We spend 2 nights in the treehouse of Alberto and it was an really good experience!
Very cool wave and jungle sounds.
Frogs and Basilico on the beautiful garden. 
Alberto was really nice, with good advices!

Excellent laundry service. 
Just 2km from Cahuita, there is a nice walk on the beach just in front this place.

Peaceful and quiet place 

I stayed in this lodge for 3 nights with my fiancé. This place is runned by Alberto and his wife, two cenuibly nice, funny and cool people. Upon checking in, we got information about the cahuita national park, prices for guides and tips for parking to avoid being charged, nearby places to visit that are hidden etc. Alberto also shared his private whatsapp number so I could contact him whenever I needed anything (he was also very quick with answering!). 

We stayed in the cheapest bungalow (can't remember the name). The bungalow itself was clean, and all necessities were provided. During the night, you can hear all insects, monkeys but also the waves as this lodge is located right next to the beach. Breakfast was also delicious and delivered to our bungalow every morning by Alberto and his wife. A parking spot is also provided if you are travelling by car. 

Overall, my fiancé and I had a great experience and would strongly recommend this place.

Great place!

We spent 5 nights in this welcoming lodge. The cabin in the trees is very treacherous. A massive and solid tree of all beauty runs through the room on the ground floor with 2 amazing large branches! (there are 2 other accommodations on the ground that are more classic. to check when booking) The large comfortable double bed is equipped with a mosquito bed (We have had very few stinging insects, but it's always convenient in case or!!) The literies are changed daily. It's a regular and clean bathroom at the beach, a space at the beach, semi-open at the beach, a small shoe (soft at the beach!) so it's equipped with an early kitchen: a good breakfast, a good breakfast, but sometimes we have a very nice meal, but the service is very convenient.

A Cabin in the Trees

Very nice place, CLEAN, the owner very gentle, very well equipped kitchen, close to the beach, peaceful.  We took our Dog, and he got along fine.  We would certainly go back there and recommend it to anyone, as long as you're not a "Air Conditioned" type person.  We like the fan and it works well.

The house on the tree is a wonderful and charming place (there are also normal rooms available). The two owners are very nice.
