The rooms are classical but the setting is laid out in style. Besides, the owner is very friendly. There is also a large area in front of the pool where you can have breakfast or simply relax. There are several pleasant places in the garden to sit down.

The Paradise

La piscina natural is a gem. Very relaxing well maintained property. Patti and Walter are gracious and super friendly. There are 7 rooms, do book early. The ocean is your backyard. This is a place to go to escape, although, there is wifi. Lol.

Beauty

We loved our stay at Piscina  Natural.

It is about a 15 minute walk from town, which worked out well for us as we saw many sloths during those trips.  

Parking is free and easy as well.

The grounds are gorgeous.   The patio has tables and chairs to watch the birds and the ocean.  We used the shared kitchen space.

All was great.  Thank you Patty and Walter.

Great time at Piscina Natural

The photos are really nice - and it's true, the beautiful garden, the swimming pools are at the top, the common space is very nice and convenient (the kitchen). What's wrong is the rooms. Tiny, no furniture, horrible sdb - small, old, impossible to handle the shower. The most annoying thing - the INEXISTANT soundproofing. Don't go on a honeymoon! You hear not only the nighttime quarrels, but also the snoring or the noise of footsteps. The feeling of being all in the same room, just horrible. The owner has the cold and distant attitude, with the prices with VAT and taxes, but no receipts or damns, because nature is beautiful.

I visited the Piscina Natural in March of 2020 for 6 days and it truly was a little piece of paradise!  Immediately upon arrival, we were welcomed by Patty the manager/owner who gave us a tour of the grounds and the property.  She is so engaging and relaxed and the pride of ownership shows throughout.  The room was clean and had lots of storage area for our bags although in this paradise, we did not spend any time in there.  The common area and communal kitchen is fantastic.  It was so nice to be able to cook some meals there and there is a fridge with beer and soft drinks available at a very reasonable price.  The natural pool is truly fantastic.  We spent many hours in there just floating around as well as in the hammocks by the sea.  It felt very safe there and Patty took such great care of us, making phone calls to book horseback riding and snorkelling for us and even gave us a ride into town.  I HIGHLY recommend this property.

Paradise

A beautiful garden, a natural swimming pool that reminds us of a small paradise, but a rudimentary room, without comfort, cleanliness to be seen in both the rooms and in the common kitchen, is not recommended for a long stay.

We had such a lovely stay here. You walk in and are just overwhelmed with the beauty of the property. The grounds are very well maintained; it truly is a jungle oasis. The accommodation provides the basics, it’s very simple. There are only 5 rooms, which meant we were able to enjoy a lot of the property on our own. We received fresh towels every day and coffee was always provided. It is really tough to describe how lovely the property is without seeing it. We highly recommend this spot!

A natural paradise

Did we just wake up in the Garden of Eden? Arrived late in the evening, woke up in Paradise the next morning. 

During our three week round trip through Costa Rica in Green Season we decided to head back over to the Caribean side to enjoy the last few days of our vacation. We couldn't have made a better choice by picking this place.

It is located in Playa Negra, which is just a 10/15 minute walk to Cahuita. This place is located right on the beach. A lush tropical garden with a natural sea pool and stunning views towards the bay of Playa Negra and Cahuita National Park. 

The rooms are pretty basic, but you don't have much reason to be here with such a garden and surroundings. Go swim in their amazing pool, chill in their hammock with ocean view or look for beautiful birds all around. 

Patty has been a great host for us, we enjoyed talking to her about Costa Rica. Cahuita, this beautiful place and the Caribean Side of Costa Rica has left us a very special memory.

Garden of Eden

We loved our stay at la Piscina Natural.  The gardens and grounds were lovely.  The pools were amazing, even when the surf was rough from a little rain storm the pools were incredible.  Patty and Walter were great to chat with.  The common kitchen area has a fridge which we used and was nice.  We originally booked two nights and ended up staying five because we didn't want to leave. We had a car and the drive to town was short and we often saw sloths on the way to and from.

Stayed longer than we planned

We spent two nights at the site and really enjoyed Patty and Walter's amazing garden which is very carefully maintained! The natural pool is very original and worth a visit. For the unfortunate who are rattling because local people dare to come to enjoy it, you have to imagine that it is not a real pool but a natural pool where the sea water is crowded and you are safe. Patty was very nice and good advice.
