Only stayed one-night but would not hesitate to stay again. Premises has a relaxing vibe and owner ix very accomodiating. The inexpensive shuttle service to the sirport is very convenient. I highly recommebd.

Easy to get transportation and very close to the airport.

Everything was A ok for the price and location. Will be staying here when I come back to Costa Rica

Very charming hostel, very homey. You can see a lot of love went into the place. Lots of plants, a tiny waterfall. Had a private room with bath and A/C. The homemade dinner was very good. They provided us transportation to the airport at only $8 for the carload. Would stay here again in a minute.

Great little hostel! Family owned. Pickup for airport was 8-10 dollars. Bed was comfy. Share one bathroom with others.Provide breakfast daily eggs with rice and beans and banana slices. It was really good. Offer dinner for 7dollars which was also good.Theirs a nearby place to get food, a small market and bakery. Only thing was that as a solo traveler Randall offered private travels but was a bit expensive recommend doing the tours with Expedia for about the same price it includes a meal but w

This little family hotel is awesome! They are so friendly, calming, attentive and honest. While the place is simple and basic the atmosphere is great and it is so clean and quiet. The wife is a good cook. She made us dinner and breakfast. Al tasty and since it was a family affair, ie, eating with others, it was a nice way to enter the country. Looking forward to one last night there on our way out of the country.

Hands down, the best hostel I've stayed at. They have created and maintain a welcoming and hospitable atmosphere that makes it easy to connect with other guests as well. They go out of their way to serve guests, they offer breakfast, dinner, a super convenient airport shuttle, are knowledgable and explain things well. Highly Recommend.

They were communicative, friendly, responsive. I was able to chat with them at any time and they were so helpful. They were willing to pick me up from the airport in middle of the night and when I didn’t need that, they had someone waiting up for me, greeting me and helping me with my bags.The room was comfortable, beautiful furnished, private and clean. The shower and bed were great. When I left, I got my first “Pura Vida” and a friendly goodbye. I would definitely come here again.

Great night’s sleep after flying, amazing service

Booked one night near the airport for an early flight - far exceeded expectations! The loveliest, friendliest and homiest hostel I’ve ever stayed in! Super welcoming, were so helpful with my limited Spanish, had really nice areas to hang out and even managed to put the Ireland rugby match on the tv for me! They arranged an airport transport for me which was great and I can’t leave a review without mentioning Holly the dog who clearly runs the show, a sweet sweet pup!

Exceeded expectations!

Staying at Garden's House Hostel was my best decision on my trip to Costa Rica. The hosts are the nicest people you could meet, and they go above and beyond to give you the best service and accommodations. You get a home-cooked breakfast included, and can also get a homemade lunch or dinner as well (for a slight extra cost - about $6 USD for a full supper, which is much cheaper than ordering from Uber Eats!). They offer transfer services to pick you up/take you to the locations where day trip busses pick you up (for trips to Manuel Antonio Park or Tortuga Island). I cannot say enough good things about this place!! When I return to Costa Rica, this is the only place I want to stay!

Gardens house was fantastic! They were super nice and very hospitable. For a small price, they even made us dinner which was absolutely delicious! I would highly recommend staying at Gardens house if you need a simple place to sleep near the airport. The front and back areas were filled with beautiful plants and there was a hammock which was nice!

Really wonderful hostel run by a lovely family. I stayed in a single room. It’s no frills for sure but that’s what I paid for. Everyone was super friendly and the family will drink with you at the kitchen table. Highly recommend, would stay here again. It was a short walk to downtown alhuela and the hostel itself is in a gated community of sorts. It all felt very safe.

A very clean room for both of us. Breakfast was good. All the staff were very friendly, although we came almost midnight from the airport, the young lady at the front desk was very kind. We left in a hurry to catch the bus to Puerto Jimenez, my sister in law left her phone in the room. The owner drove to our taxi and caught us in time. Thank you very much for a wonderful service. We will be back there again in a week.

It is an excellent Hostel to stay in if you are looking for a quiet location and tranquil hostel that has a lovely little garden to relax in before or after a long flight. It is NOT a party place and does not have a bar. It is reasonably close to the International Airport. The mattress and other items were basic but clean and comfortable. Only the TV in the room was not working well. The woman was kind enough to make me a scrambled egg and piece of toast in the morning, as I did not want to eat rice and beans before travelling on the bus.
