I want to praise the friendliness of the staff at the Casa Mayor Hotel. They were always available to answer any questions and solve any situation that may arise.

Small but perfect hotel. Clean room, good breakfast and excellent asistant. My only complain is the noise from the street, lots of cars and motorcycles go by at any hour at night, the windows of the room are terrible they dont close properly and it feels like your are sleeping in the middle of the street.

Good people, helpful and friendly. Price was right. Nothing fancy but very adequate- food Was good but also was not fancy, breakfast only.
Wasan older private residence, quite quaint.. Clean and well cared for.

Pleasantly surprise by this hotel and location.
Due to a trade show and lack of availability in hotels usually frequented in El Poblado,  found a room at this hotel, since the cost for 4 nights was equal or lower than one night at 4 stars hotels, was skeptical until setting in this hotel. Room was basic, bed on the very firm side, bath room adequate, clean, strong shower, 32" flat tv.
Included buffet breakfast was poor at first sight, then, a pleasing lady came to offer eggs, arepa,
Butter, bread, juice...etc.etc. Wow!
Location quite convenient, close to metro station ..which used for the first time instead of taxis,
Impressed, efficient and clean. 2 blocks away from avda 80, lively with plenty  of eating places. Felt safe to walk all over at night, to appreciate local people and flavors. Very positive experience.

when i checked in they said they couldn't accomodate me., I prepaid via hotels.com so they moved my to their sister hotel across the street. I didn't complain because i quite liked the room and the staff where they moved me. Casa Mayor looks pretty from the lobby though! The neighborhood is very suburban, quiet, nice - almost too nice, you have to take the train every day to go anywhere where Anything is (unless you're only there to watch futbol games). rush hour in medellin is pure insanity, so if you stay here make sure you do not need to go or return between 3:30-8:pm on any day.I will stay at their sister hotel again for sure though if i get a chance.

The room was ok, but needed air conditioning. If came with a fan that shuts off when the timer ends. The max you can set it for is two hours. That was really my only complaint, but it is hot in Medellin. Otherwise, the room was nice and clean and the service was great. Internet worked great as well.

I couldn't believe that there was no phone inside the bedroom, every hotel in the world has a phone. I asked to be moved to another room but the answer was always "let me talk to another staff member about this" and they kept doing this till I left. The bed was WAY too hard, it seemed like I was sleeping on the floor. I wished someone would have written about the bed being so hard, I wouldn't have booked this hotel. Also, once there's some light in the morning, you can hear a lot of noise outside, so forget about sleeping late.

No phone?

This hotel is fine for budget holidaying, but not good for work trips.  My room was tiny, and extremely noisy as it only had shutter windows which wouldn't close properly and was right on the corridor. As it is open plan the noise from the entire hotel funnels up into the mezzanine where the rooms are. There was no working space. The bathroom was tiny.  Breakfast was limited but nice. Coffee available all the time. Wifi was ok. During the weekends, there are no English speaking staff.  Staff are really nice and accommodating.  I am told the area is very safe for walking around.

The bed was extremely hard to sleep in (as if you were sleeping on a brick) if I knew this before I wouldve never booked this hotel. Also, room had no phone.
