This house has a lot of potential. Is a beautiful property totally abandoned. The place is dirty. The rooms don't have any furniture. The water in the shower is cold. The towels are rags. The house needs mayor repairs/restauration. The walls have holes, and water leaks and damages, the lights in the room are bad etc, etc, etc. I do not want to keep going because I am not a difficult person and I think this could be my first time writing a review but honestly, the experience was not the best. The people that work there are very nice and sweet. The area is safe. It is perfectly located to have easy access to all the important areas. All the other hotels/houses around look very nice. I think they can do a better job with the cleaning, towels, furniture, lights in the room even if they do not have money for mayor repairs. Cartagena is beautiful and the rest of the experiences were amazing!!!

This hotel also has hostel rooms but we were in the hotel part which is on the main floor.  It has a strange entrance which is quite dark but opens up to a small plunge pool with a few rooms off.  Ours was up a narrow flight of stairs and overlooked the pool.  The room was huge as was the bathroom.  It had a mini fridge and good air conditioner.   The bathroom floor was very slippery when wet so be careful.  Breakfast was downstairs off the pool.  The hotel could do with a sprucing up, but the location is wonderful with many restaurants close by, and it a short walk to old town.  Front desk girls were friendly and helpful and spoke good English.

Gret location in Getsemani

We stayed recently for 10 days at Casa Sweety in Cartagena, Colombia.  Room was very quiet with private bath, A/C and WIFI.  Small but refreshing pool.  Wonderful, caring staff gave friendly advice, made transportation arrangements for us and made our stay in the Getsemani neighborhood very easy.  It's a lively, diverse and safe area and a quick walk to the historic center.  Tasty breakfasts are included.  We met Anthony, the owner, who was very gracious. 

Given the outstanding location, the great staff and nice accommodations, this is the perfect place for both backpackers (smaller rooms are available) and senior travelers  like us.

Casa Sweety - very comfortable!

I spent three nights in Casa Sweety, its located in Getsemani a locality few blocks from the historic centre. Staff are friendly and are helpful. Breakfast is hearty. The street outside the hostel has plenty of restaurants, shops and street food. The wifi is impressive.  An ideal place to stay  in Cartagena.

Safe, Accessible and Comfortable

The photos we saw were not in any way as reality. It was a bedroom upstarts through a very dangerous and small  and low staircase were I bumped my head twice and I'm just 1.7 m. 

The bedroom was not very clean and in both cases the bathrooms were very unclean and the shower didn't work very well. 

The room upstairs was horrible if you compare it with the ones next to the pool so I recommend to the owner to use the proper photos to offer the actual rooms you are charging in booking.com or others!!

I would not recommend this to anyone!

Very bad bedrooms

Whilst some of the rooms in Casa Sweety seemed quite nice (those around the pool) the rooms above the reception felt cheap and nasty. There was a safe, but it didn't work, the room was tired with a large patch of damp and with no natural daylight -  there was a single small window which looked out onto an attic corridor. The location was convenient, the free breakfast is ok and the aircon was much needed. Casa Sweety is a fine place to stay if you get a good room but make sure you double check as I could not recommend the room we stayed in.
