12 reviewsI stayed here for three nights with my parents in spring 2014. Considering that Chishui is not a major city and this is only a four star Chinese hotel, I was quite impressed with the Zhongyue Hotel. The rooms were decently sized, decently clean, and decently comfortable. Only Chinese breakfast was available, but I thought there was a lot of variety and anyone could find something they like. The hotel is located in the center of Chishui, so its an easy walk to the waterfront area and the old city gates. The only downside was the smoky smell that simply cannot be covered up. Chishui is a really nice little town. The riverfront walk is bustling at night with teahouses and out-door dining. There are two or three old city gates still in tact with chunks of the city wall that you can walk on. There are even small areas of old town which are still surviving despite the obvious drive for new construction.
