Pu'er Jingland Hotel

This was our first stay in a Yunnan hotel after our tour operator warned us that hotels in the area might not be up to our standard, so we were prepared for the worst. No-one at the hotel spoke English so thankfully our guide was able to take care of check-in and check-out. Our room was on the "business floor" and was large, clean and comfortable with a view over the city to the mountains. Free wifi in all rooms. Mini pu-er tea cakes by the kettle were a very nice touch and absolutely delicious. The bathroom was Western and spacious and the shower was excellent. The pool is empty and unusable. Breakfast was buffet style with some Western items (cereal, toast) as well as pu-er tea and coffee. Yunnan-style spicy pickled vegetables are a great way to wake up! All in all, we were very pleasantly surprised at the comfort in the hotel.
