Hengze Highs Hotel

We stayed here for four nights as part of a recent business trip. The hotel excels in its category through its attention to detail and the needs of guests. In this part of China few people speak passable English, so come prepared with a phrasebook and some communications skills. Staff are unfailing in their desire to please and there is obviously a good management team behind them. We ate here several times in the main restaurant and in elegant private dining rooms. The Shanxi food is fresh, interesting and delicious. If you are a westerner, be prepared to be singled out as 'special guests' - which is a great experience.
