Xinle International Hotel Xianyang

I stayed in this hotel for 7 nights in room 1519. This was very spacious and comfortable, comprising a lunge and a bedroom. The room was at the side of the hotel so slightly quieter than at the front. It had a great view over a football/athletics stadium which gave me free entertainment. I could also see the lake. There were a couple of problems with the bathroom. Whatever I did, the bathroom floor always got flooded. I believe this was partly caused by there being a 5mm gap between the door and the wall where the hinge was and also the join between the floor and the bottom of the shower was not sealed. The second problem was these damp conditions seemed to provide a breeding ground for small flies. I also had to fight off mosquitoes in the room. From the squashed insects elsewhere in the rooms this problem seems to be of long duration. I added my splats but cleaned them off afterwards. I think the final score was mosquitoes 5, me 8 but I vanquished all of them in the end. Two other problems occurred during my stay. One morning the hot water was off, luckily after I had showered. The second major problem was on the last day the lifts stopped working. The hotel staff managed to get one working but, being English and not speaking Chinese, it was not easy to get their attention. Few staff in the hotel appeared to speak English. Problems aside, the room was very comfortable, though I could not find any English TV stations. Last time I stayed here there was one. Also the staff were very helpful and friendly. There are still the condoms in the bathroom! The wifi worked and seemed efficient. It was free.
