Xiamen Wake Up Naturally Inn

Excellent location in the buzzing Zengcuan precinct - shopping, cafes, seafood, snacks, bars and Roys Red Armadillo restaurant with great western food. About 5-10 minutes walk from the beach with its boardwalk, bike hire and even swimming. The owners made us feel very welcome but their English is limited. Room is cute (read Chinese romantic motif) and big enough. Good value for money. If you want luxury go stay at a resort and pay twice as much or more and miss the vibe of the area. Try the pink, red & blue seafood cafe on the main walk thru the lane also (you can't miss the colour scheme). Had a laugh because I couldn't see the "swimming pool" though. Was I looking in the wrong places? I don't think so. I think they just ticked every facility by mistake! It is about 10-15 from Xiamen Central but the cabs are plentiful and cheap enough. The place is full of Chinese couples aged 22-30 and groups of women the same age. Xiamen is civilised China!
