Shanxi Nanfang Hotel Xian

Location is right in the middle of the city, easily accessible to everywhere! There is a metro station about 200 metres away. 

The staff are attentive and never fails to greet you. The room is spacious, clean and there's even a welcome plate of fruits and snacks! The Internet is reliable and fast. 

There's also convenience stores and eateries right beside the hotel. Yummy!

Went tonight, a bit late actually, but it was no problem. Very welcoming. Yummy food. Lovely staff who helped us fumble though the menu. 3 waitresses who spoke good English. Had their speciality dish, pork spare ribs in a dry rub. Very nice. Very close to the hang tang inn where we are staying. The chefs came out and had their dinner with the waitresses and were entertained by the kiwis in the corner. Commented on our handsome kids which was nice of them. No mention of the middle aged adults however. So that's a strike😀

Fantastic, Friendly Service!

Great restaurant service

I stayed here couple of days,beds are quite hard,no tea provided but small bottle water, shower/toilet door had a problem closing and water from shower had problem draining ,had key card access issues but we're solved .

Good hotel

Smelly, dirty room. Cigarette burns. The walls are stained yellow from smokers. 

The bathroom fell apart - literally. The shower head broke into three pieces, and the drainage pipe from the sink separated. We wanted to cancel our reservation but they refused. They offered to give us another hotel room, but that never actually happened. 

When we returned to the room, it smelled of cleaning supplies, bleach based. we couldn't close the door while using the toilet because the fumes burned our eyeballs. The entire time the bathroom smelt of sewage and bleach. 

The water cooler, we paid extra for, did not cool the water... it was only hot. Since there was no fridge, this was our only source of water. When we complained, nothing happened. 

When they "fixed" and "cleaned" the bathroom they only gave us one towel and no toilet paper, we had to ask for it. It blows my mind that I had to ask for toilet paper. 

Breakfast is a waste of time, the only thing that was half edible was partially-dried watermelon. Since watermelon is literally 98% water I'm both impressed and nauseated that this hotel was even capable of drying anything in the humidity. 

I've traveled to many parts of the world, stayed in hostels, hotels, tents, and huts. This hotel was the worst experience I've ever had. 

They say it is a three-star hotel, but it is barely scraping by on 1.5-star standards. 

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

Overall disappointment

I think my title says it all. I was In a twin room with my friend on a tour but only I was affected so I guess I got the dodgy bed.

We also asked to do laundry at the front desk and were then taken on a tour to the 4th floor to then be told that they don't do laundry.

I would avoid this place!
