We spent three nights at the Silk Road Hotel. If you are used to American or European standards you will be disappointed. But for a Chinese hotel it was clean and quite comfortable. The breakfast was also good. It is located right behind the Sheraton, and is about a 20-25 minute walk to the city walls. There are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby.
