137 reviewsI am in Tianjin for a conference and was staying at this hotel with all the other conference attendees. Checking in was very uneventful. My room is on the 17th floor with a street view. The furnishing in the room is adequate with free WiFi and free bottled water. There is a flat screen TV but the working space is small to allow spreading of the paperwork. The free WiFi is very slow. The room is tired with carpet show soiled spots and old spills. The bed is on the hard side by American standards, but typical for Chinese hotels. The bath rooms are clean but with mildew here and there. We arrived late and had dinner at the second story western restaurant. The price is high for Tianjin and the food was mediocre. I ordered curry chicken with rice at Y69. ($11), all I can say is the food is hot ( temperature hot). I believe any street vendor can cook better than this. The service can be classified as "trying" but not quite there. The silver ware was not on the table, we were never gave any napkins. the water was warm. The front desk was efficient and friendly. They checked three of us in withing 5 minutes.
