Well worth a 90 minute taxi from Shanghai airport or if you have time/light luggage take the train. The location is excellent, a short walk takes you to all the sites you want to see, gardens, temples, old alley ways, modern streets...that's if you want to leave your accomodation which is wonderful, clean and comfortable. It is hard to find, a tiny ally off the street by the canal but one you are there it's well worth it if you want a relaxing few days to explore the area. A local taxi can drop you off on the other side of the canel, from there it is less than a minute away. We had had heavy bags and a local taxi (peddle powered) got us there after our taxi dropped us about 1km away. It has a real charm and old romance feeling, the host speaks English and many locals use translation apps to assist. The host provided umbrellas and a cart to drag our bags on departure. If you want a beautiful, non hotel diluted experience this is a must
