The nearest airport hotel of Haikou Meilan International Airport used to be HNA Meilan Airport Hotel, also known as HNA Express Inn Meilan Airport branch. However since 2016, the building is no longer available for booking on Ctrip.com. Hence the only nearest hotel to Haikou’s airport that has complimentary bus shuttle service turns out to be Eadry Royal Garden Hotel. Eadry Royal Garden Hotel has been established for five years since 2013. Its imposing traditional Chinese architecture follows that of the architectural style of Forbidden Palace in Beijing. Hence it earns the other name of “Haikou’s Forbidden Palace”. Located 13 km from Wugong Temple and 27 km from Shishan Volcano, Eadry Royal Garden Hotel has an outdoor swimming pool, a spa centre, hot spring bath, a business centre, a small aviary and a Chinese restaurant serving Hainanese and Cantonese cuisine and complimentary breakfast includes organic vegetables and fruits, Continental and Chinese breakfast. Tianjin Airlines Haikou Airport Branch Office is located in the premises. For baggage handling and airport station matters of Tianjin Airlines, come to this hotel. There is a small jockey exhibition corner in this hotel. Here, tourists can learn about horses used in horse-racing in China. The rooms are huge and spacious. Each room has a private bathroom and a bathtub. There is a minibar in each room. The staff are generous and hospitable. Guests can bring home complimentary body lotion, shampoo and body foam. Shavers are for indoor use. Condoms and a toiletry kit are for sale at 20 RMB and 58 RMB respectively other than the complimentary toiletries. Hotel staff have very good memory and are polite. They still recognised me when I checked-in the second time at this hotel. Upon checking-in, expect to pay a redeemable room-key deposit of 200 RMB. Check-out before 12 pm. Eadry Royal Garden Hotel is of a 15 minutes complimentary bus ride to Haikou Meilan Airport Domestic Terminal. Passengers exiting out of the Domestic Terminal and staying in this hotel should wait at the Domestic Terminal Exit just above the linkway to the Meilan Airport speed railway station, opposite the taxi stand, for 10 minutes for a complimentary transfer to the hotel. The hotel can also pick up passengers at the International Terminal without any charge.
