Vienna Hotel Shenzhen Meilin

I'd taken the train from Guilin to Shenzhen North with the aim of crossing into Hong Kong the next morning, so I simply wanted something convenient and good value. This Vienna hotel struck me as a better option than the one near the mainline station, and was only three stops down on the metro. Step out of the metro station, and you can practically see the hotel just passed the traffic lights, so very easy to find. Nice welcoming staff, and a vey pleasant large bedroom awaited. My 20 months old son ran straight to the big round bed and jumped on. My wife and I soon joined him, Such an excellent place. I should say that the manager of the hotel helped us with our huge amount of luggage too, and the staff were helpful in the morning when we wanted to weigh that luggage (ready for a flight back to the UK), so we could know what else to squeeze in there. The local area has a nice dumpling place and some pleasant little shops, but will get better still as there's a huge shopping mall being completed just over the road.
