As a foreign tourist in Shanghai, every review matters in platforms they don't support. So I need to give credit to his place when it's due! For this boutique cum hostel, I felt for the price I am paying, it was way underrated! +++ - it's located at a quiet local neighbourhood - There's a surprise morning market with cheap cheap Shanghai/Chinese snacks or meals you can get - My private room is way spacious than the usual hotel represented for the price - location location location; literally opposite of Xiaonanmen Subway Station! - full hotel amenities provided - comfy king sized bed --- - on my 2nd night here, the water suddenly got disrupted while I was showering - room was too dim in my opinion at night but good amount of natural window lighting in the morning - towels have some stains and weird smell but bearable - not the best front concierge but rather fast check in and they accept foreign credit cards Summary : Exterior may look run down, and so are most of the place but I personally felt this was a great find and convenient to access every point of shanghai via subway.
