Jinkadao Hotel

We just stayed one night in JinKa Dao hotel. We booked the night online and got the confirmation through the website. However, when we arrived there, no room was booked for us. After checking, the online website did send the booking and did receive a confirmation from the hotel, but no further processing was done internally, meaning that this booking stayed on the manager's desk. Despite the obvious inefficiency of the organization, I must admit that the reception staff was very friendly and had a real desire to help. Finally, after more than 40mn and a few phone calls, One room was freed for us to stay as the last room of the hotel. We then ended staying at the "Lady's room" with a round bed, red lamps with feathers and an antique-ish bathtub. The room was a bit odd, but very comfortable : the bed was soft, amenities were provided in the bathroom. Overall cleanliness was good, but, as in many other hotels in Guizhou province, the carpet needed a serious shampoo. Breakfast is ok, do not expect real coffee (only the nescafe milk coffee type) or real orange juice. Lastly, the staff is speaking no English and I could not imagine whether we could have been through the Internet booking experience in another language than Chinese. I even suspect that the main reason why it was not processed was that it was sent through in English.
