Meideheng Hotel (Yinchuan Xingqing Wanda Branch)

We were in YinChuan in midst of a heatwave. Coming into the hotel was a reprieve from the heat. The large dining hall on level 3 is big enough for a wedding banquet. It was where the complimentary breakfast was served in a buffet style. It started at 7am but crowds started pouring in 10 minutes before it opened. There was a good spread of local breakfast food but it ran out rather quickly. Refills were slow to come out. Our rooms were clean and spacious, (see our uploaded photos) comparable to any 5-star hotels in US. There were 2 complimentary bottles of drinking water. We were told not to drink water from the tap even if it was boiled. There is an electric kettle and free tea bags. Chinese tea is way more common than coffee here. There was a bath tub for this hotel unlike most others we stayed which had standing showers. All regular toiletries were provided including a plastic comb which was a regular feature in most hotels in China. There's complimentary wifi but it was slow and we got disconnected repeatedly. We gave up and used cellular data instead with the prepaid data we purchased while we were at Beijing Airport. On the day we checked out, we departed before breakfast times and the tour guide was nice to arrange for breakfast to-go brown bags. There were 2 slices of bread, cold hot dog, and a packet of soya milk. Overall, an excellent hotel. I would have rated it 5-stars if its lobby, dining hall and wifi were of a higher standard.
