Spent 4 nights at the Empark Grand Hotel near NIngbo. What an opulent gem! Great rate (half what I paid in Shanghai), huge suite like room, breakfast with food stations from Japanese, Chinese, English, German, and American. The lobby is so big I could have ridden a bike in laps around inside and it is decorated in art and even has an art dealer inside. This is the first Chinese hotel I have been in that had a functioning ATM! They also have a couple restaurants and a bar in the hotel and an American style bar and grill across the street. There is a walking park with a culture garden across the street that was wonderful to take morning walks. I was there for business so I don’t know if there is any sightseeing, but it is close to the SVW assembly plants.
