The hotel is conveniently located. First metro stations are close by, light luggage is not a problem (line from South Railway station), restaurants and discotheques of the 1902 area are in front of the hotel. Rooms are average, a bit run down and not too clean.  

Average but location is great

Good: Location. It is near subway line 3, Presidential palace. 

Bad:   
1. Human hair was found from a piece of ham 
2. There is a computer in the room but the mouse dose not work
3  Internet speed is too slow
4. Too close to a street, traffic noises made me wake up in the mid night
5. One of the Bathroom doors could not be closed

Not a good choice

We travelled as a family of four and stayed three nights. The family room is more designed for a one child family with a single bed and a queen. Our 8yo slept in the bed and our request for an additional quilt and sheets for the sofa for our 4yo was met immediately. Our room on the north side, 312, was very quiet, which was most unexpected and was clean and full of all the things you'd expect. It did smell faintly of smoke though, which is a hazard travelling in China. No rooms are smoke free, including the dining areas. The breakfast buffet was very Chinese in style but the kids loved it and they went back for multiple servings of dumplings and baozi and eggs. Shame about all the cigarette smoke everywhere.

Great Location, Good Buffet, Friendly staff

Stayed here on a business trip for one night, to be near the bars and restaraunts in the 1912 complex which is just over the road.  Really nice place.  Spotlessly clean and tidy.  Breakfast was a bit "Chinese" with not a lot to accommodate westerners, but was still very good.  Definitely wil stay again next time in Nanjing.

Nice 4* hotel

I stayed at the Taihe Zijin Hotel (or T Hotel) for 2 nights as part of a do-it-yourself trip around China. I reserved on CTrip for a double deluxe room with breakfast for RMB 460 nett. We were given a quiet room on the back of the building on the 6th floor. Room was adequate, nice decor, very hard mattress. No TV staitons in English. Internet in the room through ethernet was kind of slow, but included in the rate. The breakfast was good with a lot of Chinese foods. The business office got train tickets for us to Suzhou, the next destination for a RMB 20 fee in addition to the ticket cost. very convenient.

There is a bus stop outside the front door. Instead of taking taxis we just took the bus for RMB 2 each. Bus 15 goes right to the Confucious Temple and bus 1 goes to the Purple Mountain area, right to Sun Yat Sen's Mausoleum.

We did have dinner one night at a Japanese restaurant in the 1912 complex, but it was rather expensive compared to what we were spending on food.

If ever I return to Nanjing I will stay at this hotel again.
