Booked this for its proximity to the great wall mutianyu and it was worth it! When I arrived I was blown away at how gorgeous this place is! Beautiful gardens and golf course, quiet and tranquil. The rooms were a delight in Victorian chic design whikst it felt like a palace in the French countryside. I wasn't expecting that for the price of the rooms so I was very excited. I was disappointed with no laundry service and it was hard to get food afternoon/evening due to its location away from most things and a lack of room service. We dined in the hotel restaurant and thank God for Google translate for ensuring we could communicate with very willing and helpful staff. Although you didn't see a lot of staff around. The hotel is not the most receptive or possibly equipped to international guests in terms of communication and services but we got by. I do understand that it's a golf course resort and likely more tailored to the domestic market. I'd still stay there again (and bring some extra food and drink).
