4 reviewsThere is very limited choice in the area. Fine for a 2 night stay. We had a deluxe room 'zenroom' which would probably be a normal room under Western standards. I dread to think what a normal room here would be. This was a big spacious room. Massive bed. Bathroom was fine. Hot shower! Tea and coffee facilities and TV but no English channels. Wifi was bad. Very on and off. More off than on. Staff were OK. Not friendly but OK. No English. Caters mainly for Chinese. Big reception. Small shop selling Chinese things. Did not bother with breakfast as I could imagine what it was like! Stick with a cereal bar. Clean by Chinese standards. Not by my standard! The main issue was that the room was freezing. They seem to have air con but does Tibet get that cold that they need air con? No heating so maybe take extra blankets. The Chinese tourists as always have no respect for other guests so bring earplugs! It is near the new town. Two minute walk to lot's of shops and restaurants. Limited English all over. There is a nice bubble tea, juice place that also does food. Clean. They don't speak English but use a translator. They are very nice. Fast wifi as well. All in all for a 2 night stay with limited options in the area, it is fine.
