Lijiang Jiuwei Life Courtyard Inn

I found this little jewel of a guest house at the Chinese Ctrip site and decided it is time to write the first-ever English review of 'Jiuwei Inn'! This is one of many (hundreds?) of traditional guest houses in Lijiang Old Town. Many of the rooms are only $10, making this a real bargain. I splurged on a 'honeymoon suite' - still amazing value at only $20! Although the place is in the heart of Old Town, the rooms are very quiet, many of their windows facing a quiet canal outside. The rooms have comfortable, heated beds and great showers. Some of the cheapest room seem to have a shared toilet, and those are probably best to be avoided... Like most places in Old Town, this is very difficult to find, so make sure have their phone number (189 880 35779) available. The current Google Map location is not completely correct, though it is very close.
