Yunan Lotus Garden Hotel

This confernce resort/hotel is huge. It has 3 different star hotels and a huge conference building. We stayed at their 5 star hotel accomodation with free buffet breakfast daily. The room is big and clean. Furnitures are tastefully decorated. The bathroom is also big. Our room was facing the huge swimming pool with waterfall and the sunrise view is fantastic. Room has wired internet access. The hotel has 2 restaurants and a coffee shop. Staffs are friendly but only Kevin, the manager, speak fluent english. It is really hard to communicate with staff if he is away or off. Kevin arrange our tour to Stone Forest and it was worth it. Downside is that this hotel is 30 to 40 minutes away from the city centre and sometimes taxis don't want to take you back here and you need to have some Chinese language skills to haggle with some private cars picking up passengers with twice or 3 times the price of taxi fare, but not to worry, it is still cheap compare to western world taxi fare.
